to die is related to "cruel stuff" also in poe to resurrect (on normal, in town or at start of zone.) dont see any point to improve the wheel here but also would blame me for not calling this out later :D the new mechanic is a new way to deal with death. "don't worry GGG, it's ok!"

New possible mechanic for 3.0.0: Every time you die all of your gears and loot explode and drop all around your body. You now have to go back to your body to get back your gear. And now there is no loot filter and no icon for loot on the ground, you have to perfectly hover the cursor over the items, just like in Diablo 1 good old day. Rings are so small you gonna spend days trying to find them back. Or..... a new Fishing mechanic??? or...... fighting is enabled in town, so you can fuck up people as they speak to NPC to recieve their rewards. And then you can steal their rewards and steal what's in their own stash or.... getting drunk when you drink too many flasks side effects such as befriending Dominus and getting along with Malachai as your new drinking buddy. |

Dynamic death penalty.
Instead of a flat 10% in merciless and 5% in cruel, with the removal of cruel GGG needs a bridge between the 0% and 10% penalties, so now there's an XP penalty based on zone level or character level, possibly constrained/influenced by your XP gain within a certain timeframe, so there's a more consistent time penalty for slow/casual players who die vs. 30 second map clearers who die. for each hc death over lvl85 we get one try to crush a other ones dreams as xandro blooddrinker or sneaky magnus.
