Question to people who stopped using PoE subreddit and came here.

reddit is a bell curve.


the super stupid shit gets downvoted but also the super smart stuff gets downvoted

average joe shit rules on that site.

I don't really fit your category of responder (never "Used" reddit to begin with)...
Generally, the only way I end up on Reddit is if a question I search on Google leads me to a link to a reddit post. (usually not PoE related searches, more like comparison shopping and review related things - I don't go searching through the reddit forums though, I let google do that for me, or I'd never find what I want.)

Reasons why I'd avoid it for PoE:
* Down-vote option available. People can and do abuse the feature that is supposed to be used to mark off-topic posts, to instead gang up on and hide posts that disagree with their viewpoint.
* Because of the first point, it's a mess. I don't want threads hidden that people stupidly down-vote. I spend more time expanding topics to read them than I'd like.
I also don't like the format - it's like a bad email program with a mess of replies in a conversation thread.

On a tangent:
Up-votes are a great way to allow people to provide support or agree without putting in the effort to post, or spam with +1's or full quotes saying they agree. I'd like Up-votes on this forum.

I think the content as a whole tends to be better on Reddit, because the quality rises to the top, while shit falls off and disappears.

i would 100% agree with this if reddit's mob werent fucking idiots at their occupation and did not delete every thread that doesnt imply a Streamer farting or Somebody brownNosing the creators

90% of forum posts are somewhat interesting
60% of reddit posts are "streamer said that" "streamer died" "i did mspaint piety" "new supporter pack is awesome"

there's a predominance of downvoting there compared to other subreddits I stick with. There's really no point in that kind of discourse. Unless and until the mods address that, it's going to only give one POV.
