Hi, just to say great fun build.

In relation to delving this build is going OK. Although, as a pure delver wondering if going the phase ascendancy route would be more benficial?

I have never used phasing. How much of an improvement is it over a movement skill like whirling blades?

I feel like I can get through any mob by just whirling through them when needed for defense.

For my last ascendancy point yesterday, I went for the helmet enchantment and got 40% increased damage for Orb of Storms :)

Better than nothing I guess :)

The ascenendancys are pretty close but onslaught is a bit better overall. For DELVING phasing is great, the problem you will run into is the fact that you get phasing on kill or when you have max frenzy charges. Since your darkness diving, neither of these will be true. Thought you will have it at the start if you just killed monsters or such.

Also whirling blades goes through monsters. You can play around with it and see if you like it better, but when it comes down to it without being able to phase in darkness it probably won't do much for you.

for delving, I have switched my orb of storms support to include Power Charge on Crit.

With the layouts and density of Delving, you can keep up 3 power charges very easily and adds in a little extra damage. Culling Strike with Orbs in delve has proven meaningless as there are almost no bosses to fight (at least the levels I am delving at).

I think I bought my claw for like 60c and copied a 10ex claw from POE trade with all great stats (or so I thought based on info in this thread)....

You can buy a mirror tier claw and still have crap total dps. Look at a claw as a tool for damage delivery not as a main source of damage cause it ain't.
That "tool" must have HIGH attack speed and crit chance! It can in theory have 0 ele dmg and still make high dps char with it.
Because, your source of damage partially comes from claw itself and the much larger part comes from good abyss jewels, jewelry and gloves and helmet.

This is a bit complex build, not a "slap and clap" build that is based on a one unique item. I have been struggling for a while to finish it but it's finally finished and i'm really satisfied with what I got and how it feels.
Delves are easy, and its clearing trash like nothing.

Feel free to take a look at my char. It's a little different from Goofy's but dps is there. Can't make 100% copied items. :)

Not bad, looks like ur missing some life and since ur using shroud over belly your missing even more but overall looks pretty similar.

Curious as to what your tooltip dps is in game (in hideout), what ur max life is, and what delve depth you have hit.

Delve wasn't nice to me with ex drops, since I got 0 the from league start. So 6L Belly was a long haul that I wasn't willing to take.
Found a 10% life Shroud cheap early on and called it a day xD. With 5.5k life and 400es i feel confident and this is a char that died least times to lvl 91 since I play poe, so it's pretty safe.

Got to 150 Delve depth(dont have time and sulphite) and it goes without a hitch. Sometimes i just pick a corner, hold attack and spam flasks. Don't even have to move.

Vaal ST is a must, cause it's stupidly strong. I burst down red tier bosses in 2-3 sec max. Sometimes without vaal. Also Vaal ST is my emergency button if i get surrounded by a strong monsters and i feel overwhelmed. It clears them right off.

Gems were just converted to 20% qual so they need lvling. Didin't pay much attention to the game tooltip but i think it shows much lower dps than on screenshots from your Pathfinder friend. In POB with lvled gems and slow proj, buffed, no ench, it shows 800K Shaper dps (2x hits= 1.6 million Shaper dps. Add on that 3 stacks of Vaal ST (3x 1.2mil= 3.6mil dps Shaper), burst dps with all flasks and buffs skyrockets to over realistic 5 million Shaper DPS which is insane.
Fine by me considering the resources and time i had.

So build is Delve verified on my part. ;)

Deeper Delve monsters have bigger dps not life. Grimro got to 1000 depth with tornado shot and deadeye. Not mf char tho...

How much worse starkonjas? And how important is vaal pact? Do claws provide enough leach?

Putting Starkonja's over Rat's Nest is a defensive trade off. Lower dps for more life and evasion. It's your preference what to chose. I had no prob with Rat's Nest.
Vaal Pact is very important cause it doubles your life leech rate, so you go from ~1000 to ~2000+ life leeched per sec. And yes, thats enough leech. Without Vaal Pact you would have miserable life regen and half the life leech.
I'm farming Uber Lab without a problem with 0 life regen.
