I would like to point out that he's incorrect in his use of pronoun. It wasn't "my" Taste of Hate until it's purchased. It's still up for grabs to who ever has the coin for it. The fact that you spawn the instance doesn't make it yours.

1. Get a friend to buy coins
2. Create a second account FOR FREE and mule the currency/coins
3. Simply block your portals
4. Endless possibilities

There's no helping dumb being getting "robbed".

Why is there still so many people surprised of scams?

Its online, you deal with strangers, this is nothing new. Its was like that 15 years+ ago (I remember in diablo for example) and its still the same today. And guess what, the other player is not hacking, he's tricky you so really the staff has nothing to do here.

And yes, can't name/shame on the forum so once again, why are people surprised.


I don't get it, just protect yourself properly.

Edit: and i'm not joking about protecting yourself. Luckily for some players, I do my trade fair and square , but sometime I have people giving me their items so I can use some orb/master/essence on it... like, what, sure I'll do it but don't go doing that with total strangers. They think that doing 2-3 quests with them means that they can totally trust you...

It's not a scam, you invited him into your hideout the moment you partied him and had 'Party Members Allowed in your Hideout' option ticked. He went into your portal, party members can do that. You never told him not to go in your portal. He literally did nothing that breaks the Terms of Service agreement. If you didn't want him in your hideout you should disable party members from accessing it. No one is to blame other than your own negligence.

If I was selling coins, I too would have taken your taste of hate.

This is about as big as a 'scum' as people pking each other with detonate dead boxes on HC or pking at bandits.

It's an in-game mechanic, there is a way to prevent it which you did not. You missed out, live an learn little buttercup.

I have a Taste of Hate offered in my game right now. I cannot come close to affording it. Shame to waste it.
