[3.x - Discontinued for now] Burning Spectres - Torch the Atlas - HC Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri

Since we have no hard data on spectre stat such as their skill dps, it's just our estimation. You may try but I do not expect them to outdps the current setup, the Scourge is simply that strong, let alone the loss of defensive capacity of a shield

And of course the staff will have nowhere near the dps capacity of Necro Aegis with Tukohama's Shield, which nearly double the dps capacity of those totems

Hmm... I hadn't considered a femurs staff. That actually comes out really damn close...

A perfectly rolled femurs, with spectres run as a 5L + level 4 empower, that's +5 gem levels to your spectres. Add the damage bonus, and you're at 68% over normal, which is only 2 points below Scourge, plus you would have the extra 3 gem levels on the rest of your supports. I suspect this would out DPS scourge, actually.

You would lose 7-12% block. OTOH, you could now run 2 six links, so your chest could run some DAMN tough zombies, skeletons, golems, whatever you like. Not sure what you could use for a movement skill... worst case, speed flasks, I guess.

I'd absolutely try this out if I had a femurs available. You should give it a go and see how well it works!

On a second thought, it may be interesting if you have a second 6L in chest for something like SRS/zombie/skelemage etc. More DPS and more minions as meatshield. Not sure how it will perform in practice though.

I think you leave out the important part of The Scourge. The "+70% increased minion damage if you hit recently" which you will to apply EE. About the Kaom. I was able to achieve 11k EHP at lvl 93 (will increase when i get the last hp and mana notes left) so i rarely die. The only time I did is when i foolishly Whirling straight into a pack of frozen mobs without Bone offering. The again, this build is so op, i think you can roll with anything and still be able to clear Shaper lol. Test it and tell us how it goes

Maybe someone already asked that, but, do you know if the unshattered will shield % increased damage with channeling skills work with the tokohama's vanguard totens? Since SR is a channeling skill.

70% increased (as in, additive, not multiplied) damage from Scourge vs an additional Spectre, which is 25% more.
