Keep Exalt Shards, Vendor 5L for 1 Shard

Because part of the reason why exalts are special is the rarity of them, much like how poe's items and currency already have become inflated with what I like to call the "more" meta, more drops, more currency, more clearspeed.

A 5 link on a 6 socket base is not complete, a 5 link on a 5 socket base is in the sense that without further changes it can't get more links, but GGG decided years ago when they were creating vendor recipes it wasn't worth anything. If it wasn't worth anything, back when people had less access to clearspeeds, currency, ect, then why would they make the change now, to make it worth something, when you already have so many avenues to get wealth?


This is like the same stupid argument on reddit right now about making 5:1 standard for uniques, without requiring the prophecy, all your doing is devaluing anything that already has value\inflating the economy.

Well this is completely different mate and I don't see how that's relevant because we're not talking about a random roll to any unique that could be worth 4 ex or more if you get lucky.

We're talking about a fixed 3-5c vendor recipe.

Why is there no vendor recipe for items with fire/cold/lightning damage? Items with fire/cold/lightning resistance? Items with str/dex/int on them?

I mean your being a smartass now, but when the recipe was created there were no white links. White links also are special case circumstances that don't happen outside of corruption (or tabula)


6 unlinked sockets is the same as 6 semi linked sockets, because the item isn't complete.



And your definition of trying to make something have more value is truly arbitrary. If its valuable, it will sell, if not it doens't. Next league pick up every single 5 socket, keep them all in your stash, count at the end of the league how many you got, then come back and post facts. Maybe if you have data to backup your argument you would look less like a fool, instead of just spurting out "its rare so it should be valuable"


The fucking irony of the rarity is that you are in the same group of people that have no problem with the current fact that nothing is worth really that much, but you fail to see its instances like this that are part of the problem, making it so you feel like anything and everything you find has value.

Nah. I can immediately tell you that it is much more rare than a 6socket (also significantly more useful). My loot filter highlights both, and I find 6sockets on average more than one per map, while I find 5links maybe every 10 maps or so.

I know its more rare then a 6 socket, those are fairly frequent as it is, but how many of those 5 links arent in a 6 socket too? Very, very few, so most of the time you still can get something for it from the vendor, in other cases you sell it to players or leave it on the ground (if its a 5 link weapon, for the most part)

Not that big of a deal, yet "its gotta be worth something its rare" Give me a fcuking break dude.

Chill out dude. It's just a suggestion.

A guy on reddit posted something that is worth considering as a valued argument. Flora's Gift drops pretty frequently, so if we were to have vendor recipe it would need to be a set in order to counter for the frequency of that card dropping.
