Figured they would have nerfed them without how rampant they've been and how objectively overpowered they are compared to everything else, but I guess we'll just have another league where 2hander and non-SST shield use (and skills that don't work with statsticks) get trivialized by fake dual-wielding. And lets not forget GC reigning supreme on the spell side of things.

I don't get how those things made it out of QA anyway.
They are so ridicolously better than any alternative that it's not even funny. They have to be nerfed, either turned into local mods, value nerf or restrict the number of mods per item to 1 or at most 2. It is just no fun to start theorycrafting a build an thinking permanently "if you would just use a stat stick instead you would deal easily 50% more damage". It just ruins the fun. Why make a pure phys character ? Or True DW character ? Or SnB user? Or 2hander ? The Bestiary league proved once and for all, that GGG only listens to crying instead of well thought out criticism.

Stat-sticks in general are likely to be removed at some point. They really make zero sense in this genre. It makes no sense at all that the best thing to use is something that your skill is restricted from using.

It is pretty absurd that I can make a build in path of building that does 2.3 million damage per hit with ice crash and still has 6.1k life. I think a pretty simple fix would be to make any "added as x element" mods limited to one per item.

Suppose it's worth pointing out, now that i think more about it: It would seem Chris has something against creating legacies the next league after something's introduced.
Over on reddit, the Cospri's guy (who created Iron Heart) was talking about how Iron Heart apparently will be getting a fated version, rather than just being directly buffed (cuz why would you create a fated version of something that's high-ish level and never used in its original form instead of just buffing the original?). Apparently the reasoning is because Chris doesn't wanna create legacies immediately after release. " The balance between true dw and fake dw has been broken for years now(basically every skill that can use fake dw with the exception of cleave was always better with fake dw), thanks to those insane mod it just became obvious for everyone now, because how batshit crazy it the shaper mods are and how they also affect 2handers and SnB now. It has come to a point where I dont't even want to make a true dw build anymore, because of how bad it feels to now, that i could boost its power easily by just using fake dw. And i have made true dw build in basically every startcharacter/league since open beta and it never became boring for me because i love the style, but the current state is just to frustrating. The Bestiary league proved once and for all, that GGG only listens to crying instead of well thought out criticism.

" +1 confirmed. Played one myself when I swapped from hc abyss to sc abyss halfway thru league, very quickly found myself chain farming atziri solo with basically nothing but dual stat sticks and a tabula. Did that til I had enough cards to get a 6L vaal regalia and currency to get decent gear and swapped one stat stick for a shield. Used that til my damage was good enough to use a brightbeak instead of the other stat stick. Such an OP build to begin with, and you can literally run around with two ultra OP crutches.
