[3.6] Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist

Hello all, nice and easy life build..

i didn't followed the build from the start (no money for inpulsa) but took some ideas and the end i got to something similar in the tree so i'll share with you my more DEFENSIVE approach:

1)First of all i hate movement skills.. imho none works good, and the constant sound of them its the main reason i dont play in parties anymore and i have playing only bow builds till now..

so my solution for BV elementalist is PHASE RUN.. my lvl 21/20 phase run+inc.duration consuming 3 frenzies gives me a)9 sec of +50 ms b)phasing c)arcane surge
+


Total ms with flasks up is 159%-179% depending my onslaught status.. this kind of ms makes mapping enjoyable, on an added bonus phase run makes monsters react slower


2)Now that I have solved my movement problem lets go to the juicy part that is Defences:

a) blind aura+crit multi+huge crit chance = BIS

b) Block chance 50% is pretty major especially considering enemies are perma blinded.
TOH is BIS unique flask
Less reduced mana reservation = better MOM

c)Huge life+dmg+ignite+freeze immunity (shock immunity is from inpulsa)

in order to achieve those we need str>dex>int so i sacrificed 2 jewel slots for efficient training and carefull planning

d)curse immunity+bleed immunity+life regen

e)stone golem + MOM = blood rage viable, also with cwdt+immortal call+ARAKAALI combo you have 50% increased life recovery, also dont forget to take shakaari for poison immunity

f)6link in a helm essentially.. so no real need to 6link inpulsa..also pretty cheap around 10-30c

g)HoT curses gives innervation and onslaught ( i would prefer HoI but inpulsa explosions overlap)

Total cost of all the above is around 2ex (1ex is the taste of hate)

Damagewise everything untill t16s explode, i stopped taking life flask cause nothing seems to damage me.

for single target bossing (t16) pob gives me 1.3M to 1.6M shaperdps if i bother to switch my quicksilver flask with atziri's (minotaur goes down in 5-8 seconds)

Alright. Just hit level 90, and am finally starting to feel like my gear is OK. Looking to really start my push into higher red tier maps (I play slow), and wondering where I should prioritize on gear.



I'm not really sure the best way to link my jewels but they're all pretty basic life/crit multi or life/damage (I think I have two crit multi and two other damage mods--no 3 mod life/crit/damage).

Stuff I know needs to get changed:
* Still using Divinarius
* 5L
* Rings are basic garbage I got when I swapped to impulsas to rebalance res

Those to me feel like the biggest things. Obviously there's room for improvement on most of my gear, so I'd love to hear any other suggestions.

If you like lightning dmg degen, then yes :)

Everytime you deal crit. strike, you take 400 light. dmg per power charge / per second until your power charges expire. With 75% light. ress you would take 100 light. dmg / s, with 5 power charges = 500 light. dmg / s, dual wield shimmerons = 1000 light. dmg taken per second

Thats why are shimmerons better for totems / traps / mines, cause those builds do not crit with their skills, traps crits, not player - you still need to be careful with movement skills, cause even with Ancestral Bond you can crit with mov. skill - logic right? You can't deal Damage with your Skills yourself, but you can crit...

Hey guys what should i upgrade? im crafting my dagger and efficacy on 6l is for mapping
Hi,

When I went to the 5l Inpulsa from my old set up, it halved my DPS down from 11k to 5k or something. I don't have Beacon of Ruin yet so I am using Cold Pen Support in the Inpulsa's. My question is, how much does it really matter for mapping and until what tier? I seem to clear faster despite the halved DPS. At least, to t5 anyway. I haven't tried 6 yet. I did have some issue with the old set up on those weird alien tripod creatures that spit projectiles at you in the Incursions. Huge packs of those killed me a few times but not problems other than that with dying.

Beacon of Ruin is about Elemental Prolifereton so why cold pen? Oo
You should use Hypothermia and if you want full clear potential from Inpulsa use Elemental Proliferation Support and switch to controlled destro for bosses until you have Beacon of Ruin

Which gem should I switch for concentrated effect for bosses (e.g uber elder)? Hypothermia?
What I'm saying is, I'm not using hypothermia because I DON'T have Beacon of Ruin. According to the guide, it says to switch out to Hypothermia once you get Beacon. Are you saying I should use it anyway over something else like Cold Pen?

Let's just make it easy... what 5 gems would you use if you were me, until I get Beacon of Ruin. And what 5 would you use after? That would be much appreciated.
Can somebody plz explain me a couple of questions.
If I increase physical damage will it increase the total damage, so there is conversion right ? 50% gloves and 50% light gem. More physical damage -> more elemental damage - right ? I mean if I get "more physical damage" roll, will it up my dmg ?
Is there any point to increase attack speed ? does it have any influence on speed of casting of BV ? or only cast speed the thing I should icnrease ?

Before: Blade Vortex + Physical to Lightning + Controlled Destruction + Increased Critical Strikes + Added Fire

After: Blade Vortex + Physical to Lightning + Controlled Destruction + Increased Critical Strikes + Hypothermia

(the exact same setup as mentioned in the guide)

"#% increased Physical Damage" rolls on your weapons have no effect on your damage. Increased Physical Damage on the tree/jewels works. "Adds # to # Physical Damage to Attacks" doesn't work, "Adds # to # Physical Damage" and "Adds # to # Physical Damage to Spells" do. Attack Speed helps your movement skill, but not BV.
