pls Remove randomness from getting endgame content.
" As a high-hour SSF casual in this game, I would like to say that I think I epitomize that sweet spot you mention. Less doing Shaper and Uber Atziri. By 40 hours my character should generally have decent gear, a decent Atlas, and the ability to do most content aside from the two above. And Uber Elder. But generally I can fight through the worst of the RNG, although at 40 hours I am not sure what my Atlas completion looks like (I will note this closer next time). I actually quit Bestiary early, however, because that RNG was preventing material Atlas advancement - running all my red maps and then all my T10 yellows and then starting to run T9s was a big NOPE. I often wonder why I continue to play this game - it is not just habitual, I genuinely have fun playing (most of the time) - but the game is walking a tight rope of design I could fall off at any minute. Your comment on this "sweet spot" I think answered that question. While I am still in that sweet spot, I am still motivated to play. " First, is it hard to not be rude when you're trying to make a point ? For example, not using shit in a sentence. Secondly, putting it in the challenges does not mean it's going to be easy, nor not influenced by RNG. Seeing your badges, you are supporting GGG and this game a lot, meaning (at least) that you are the kind of player who wants some challenge and durable content. Also GGG is trying to answer to every kind of hardcore player, meaning that some challenges are really needing some investment. I've never finished a single challenge totem because I know I'm not the kind of guy who is gonna farm 4 different things that are 1 - hard as frak if you don't have the good build, 2 - severely depending on RNG. Even if sometimes (with the group of friends I'm playing almost everyday) we said that we were kind of sad that we wouldn't be able to finish a totem because of the amount of game time and / or luck / currency you have to put in. But we always conclude that it is meant to the guys who are playing 12h/day, streamers, or big guilds or group of players that support each others. And to be honest, I prefer running some maps and dropping the nice item I'm gonna sell for 10ex than killing Izaro 100 times. Nope... having some part of the end game in the challenges does not mean it is mandatory. And if you think it is mandatory... then do what you need to do to get there. Some of us have the 40 challenges, so it is doable :) Much like sport, you don't get to the Olympics without a hell lot of training... the last 5 or 6 challenges are -generally- meant to be really hard. See that as the Olympics of PoE. |

" i think you misunderstood my sentiment. I want access to the content , i want it to be challenging , i want it to kill my character if i am ill prepared. What i should not have to do , is hope that Randomness A moves to the spot i want , to get randomness B to maybe go to same spot, to then move to spot efgh to get x to happen. mind you this is all making me run map tiers that are far below what i would run normally. -some background for you , i do not shape my atlas , i enjoy running any map of the higher tiers i have available to progress to harder content. Elder should be locked behind fragments like atziri. They should be dropped by any boss on maps influenced by the elder or shaper. uber elder should be locked behind his guardians for fragments. Shape the Bog map. You can get elder influence on red maps only then plus it's an extra T15 for the elder to land on. I know you can't change your maps but for next league...

" So you don't want randomness, but you want the elder to be gated behind fragments ? In short, you're certainly pretty wealthy and you would be able to buy the fragments. So for a player that is not rich enough to buy fragments, he is stuck behind the randomness of dropping fragments. So you want randomness that you could bypass by using currencies. If it "fixes" the issue for those who have enough currency. It doesn't for newcomers / players who are not aware of how to make currency / players who don't play 20h a week. |

"Shaper memory fragments XI through to XV no longer require you to defeat the Elder or its guardians in specific map tiers. Instead, defeating each guardian and the elder within ANY red-tier map will get you one of these fragments."
