Not if you're reviewing a game with the perspective of a consumer you don't. Book reports is not my problem, as a potential consumer all I care about is the quality of the product they indend for me to consume. If the business model in question would result in lessed quality of experience for me then that's exactly the kind of information I'd like to hear about.

And there are many reasons for why a "bad" game could be selling more than a "good" game; better advertising, bigger brand name, targeting large masses of gullible buyers, anything really. If you think numbers is the measure of quality then go ahead and eat some shit 'cause 1 trillion flies can't be wrong.

If true, that's not an unexpected response when a loved one has passed. Those who understand such things know that personal possessions are the most painful reminders. I don't think TB would mind one bit and would likely encourage such a move.

Besides, we can't underestimate the costs that an extended, embattled, illness like this has. Bills are not just going to "go away" for those sharing joint financial responsibilities.

I will miss TB. He was part of "my internet." He also had a significant impact on not only the games industry, but on game critics and youtube/vid commentators. I didn't always agree with him, but one doesn't often agree with even the opinions of the most influential people in one's life, either.

Seeing as she lost her husband, her job and is at risk of losing her house aswell (she mentioned this on the memorial podcast), are you surprised if she's selling some stuff? Also note that the artists that were doing the commissions actually were the ones that initiated the figurine auction. (If you are referring to the 40K figurines)

Thanks for those qualifiers - It certainly puts this in perspective. And, yes, it is a very crappy situation for anyone to be in, especially including the loss of her husband.

For those unfamiliar with it, this is "real life." It's wonderful, but it can suck... :/
