No, easily accessible content is a good thing. It seems like GGG is adopting the easy-to-play, hard to master concept and it's paying off for them.

PoE will not survive if its developers only cater for the 1% of players that can put in 14 hours a day.

I'll be honest I'm not enjoying incursions. Its still not fitting the fast paced gameplay because you need to Talk to this chick, then you need to look at your temple to figure out what passage you need to open, then you need to THINK about this, and then you hitting "enter incursion" like WTF it tooks so much time that my rain of arrows 7 frenzy charges raider can clear like half a map in this time. IMO breach and abyss were the best for me.

First, on topic: both Bestiary and Incursion are bad in my opinion, but for different reasons without any relation to each other.

Bestiary wasn't bad as a concept, its major problem was this league was just terribly executed - bugs, tech and balance issues, some design flaws, incompatibility between game speed and the design concept itself. Unpolished, raw baked byproduct of a developer in a hurry.

Incursion is bad, because it's the emanation of a long lasting trend: emphasis on speed with high meta tolerance.
You play this and that, or go home. Mindlessly rush through hordes of mobs, the more - the better. Once in a while the 1K experts will kill you, but most of the time you'll evaporate screens of mobs without any danger.
In addition, the power creep is over the roof. And it's a trend as well - stat sticks, incursion items, new unique items, you name it.

I find incursion way more problematic, because of the message it brings: game will keep speeding up, the power crep will flourish and it's obvious no one cares about it anymore as long as player retention is up and sells are growing. When the shit's too much, someone will just pull the switch and cut it all off.
That's the trend since Breach: lootsplosions, meta or go home, retardedly unbalanced items hence op-opie builds. And no one cares.

I, for myself, can read the trend, and already know the vision of developers and how this game's going to develop in future. Can't say I intend to be a part of it, nor can stand the agony anymore.
There's nothing to do with nostalgia and times long gone, but about the transformation into a buggier, less balanced and optimized D3.

Incursion is the rippiest league by far because Incursion Sentries (aka Vaal Constructs) are mega buffed and kill pretty much everyone with -40 or lower chaos res.



But you would only know these things if you and others who are shitting on the league could get past act 2 or act 3.
Oh, got it. So the key to activate god mode is a bit of chaos res? Cool story.

BTW I don't even intend to play this league, but thanks for shitting around with personal insults. Warms my heart.

The temple is legitimately hard. The incursions are hard. Again, you'd know this if you actually play the game. Unless you're using overtuned Arc Traps, temples are not easy. I'm shitting on you because I'm sick and tired of people hating on easily the best league since breach in that fundamentally you are actually rewarded for having a good build.



I mean shit, people are clearing Incursions with everything ranging from double strike, eq, rain of arrows, vaal summon skeletons, zombies/spectres, arc, traps, fireball/flameblast, RF, BV, etc. but somehow everyone wants to complain that the first 20 levels are too hard.

You try and do as much damage as effectively as possible and become as tanky/unkillable as possible, those are essentially the 2 basic goals of building a character. Your damage and survivability are variables and you have tools to try and maximise them, thats what making builds and having an item system is there for. Theres nothing smart or honourable about failing at those tasks, thats just being bad at the game, and theres nothing reprehensible about the devs building content that challenges your ability to obtain damage and survivability, thats what the entire game is about, thats what theyre supposed to do.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

I have no clue why people are bitching so hard about a league that rewards HEAVILY for having a good build. Just because you can't come up with a decent build dosen't mean others can't. #1 on HC ladder is fucking Blade Vortex. And this isn't like before where it was hard to come up with a build to do good damage and have decent survivability, damage literally comes in spades now.
