How Poe elites ruined Bestiary AND Incursion - Bestiary you will be missed.

Bestiary was better tnah INcrusion. But needed more love before release.

Neh people are just tired of listening to that 1 in a million person that thinks he represent alot of people with the same shitty reasoning about why that trash league was any good. Because it wasn't. It's gone forever, and thank god for that.

Bestiary was played by 10.000 more players 1 month into the league than incursion.


So its seems like the argument that incursion is more loved does not really hold. Can we finally discuss how bestiary also was superior, and can we get it back? @GGG

Seriously, how many times have we seen this exact same post.

Here's my counter to your theory - Bestiary was such a shit heap that people quit early and in droves. But we love us some PoE, so we moved to Standard because it was way too early to quit before the next league. If you happened to play Standard during Bestiary league you would have seen it was more vibrant and active than at any time in recent memory.

And guess what your high-faluting Steam Charts don't show - where people are playing.

We can go back and forth all day on this - the majority of people who play don't post on forums so the consensus here that Bestiary was shit means nothing. Look at ma Steam Chart numbers.

The bottom line is that it is gone. Get over it, dry your eyes, and move on.

Did not read the start of this argument, but these few lines reflect precisely what I did during bestiary. I played std and had more trade requests for age-old items rotting in my stash than ever before.

That said, during the flashback event I got to experience the (by then much improved) bestiary mechanic and liked it quite a lot. Pity GGG had already decided to can it by then...

Also what about the SSF in my friendlist that did not post in the forum and on reddit and are not playing poE anymore because bestiary is gone and incursion was shit? And yeah guess what. The next league will start from pre abyss league again. Because Incursion was so bad player count wise that even ZiggyD talked about that with Chris. And yeah they confirmed it, if you believe it or not.

- you have never beaten Atziri
- you have never beaten the Pale council
- you have never beaten the Shaper

There are endgame goals, and two of those three are not that difficult to reach in SSF.


Personally, I found the concept of sacrifying beasts to craft items really dumb, I did not bother much with beast crafting ( I kind of missed out of some cool items though, although it seems to me that GGG added too much special mods/effects imho ).
I would not mind having it in the core game though I think, with "beasts" being less common and some balance adjustments going with it.

GGG said that they are going to polish Incursion to add it in a way to the Core game at the end of the year.
Which is already much, much better than what they did to Bestiary ( = dump it ).


PS : temple gives you some control over RNG, actually, and that applies to ... endgame too since you can have a high level temple.
And it gives pretty powerful rares too, that are definitely worth chasing.

This thread is still alive? I thought PoE elites already killed it with fire. Should be no problem for "them", OP claims "they" ruined two consecutive leagues with ease.

"They" certainly look scary, if one delves into the matter (pun intended).
