Vaal Double Strike ? What gems help the minions ?

My question is this, im making a cheese build using vaal double strike on standart.

I have 2 weapons to use and a chest, Here are the weapons.



and the chest i want to use along with the ring to gain cats.



So scenario's:

1.Doublestrike in chest 5 supports, use bramble scalpel, Vaal Doublestrike in another item +3 supports.
2.Doublestrike in beast thirst, Vaal Doublestrike in chest + 5 supports.
3.Doublestrike in chest, Vaal Doublestrike in beast thirst + 2 supports and 2 pseudo links.

Which is going to be better here. I keep considering beast thirst because of the bleed gain for the vaal DS minions even then bramble is much much higher dps.


Other shit ill be using in the build incase there is a better arrangement.

Why 2 Double Strike gems?
Vaal Double Strike is now 2 in 1 gem.

Use the Bramble Scalpel in main hand and a good stat stick offhand.

Setup 1. Better clear, better single target by yourself.
Vaal double strike in chest with Ancestral call, Melee Splash, Melee phys, Ruthless and Increased crit dmg for clear.
Swap Multistrike and Maim for Ancestral Call and Melee Splash for single Target dmg.

Double Strike minions are not affectet by Multistrike and Ancestrall call.

Setup 2. Little less clear, little less single target by yourself, more single target dmg with vaal minions. Overall little more combined single target damage if vaal minions are up, so best for shredding a boss in the first few seconds.
Melee phys, Ruthless, Maim, Increased crit dmg, Increased crit strikes for single target.

And Ancestrall call, Melee splash, melee phys, Increased crit dmg, Increased crit strike for clear.
This gives you a little less clear but more single target dmg for the vaal minions because they have one support gem more. But you have yourself a little less dmg because Multistrike > increased Crit strikes.

I ended up going with vds in the chest and using the foil, sad though that I couldnt find a way to optimaly use the best thirst, the bleed and multistrike / ruthless combo are just so good for vds. Its a difference of a rediculous 480k dps between the 2 weapons at full tilt..

The minions will be melee attack based like you so they will benefit from all your supports pretty much. Just use the 6link chest because you also get quality on the gems and it will boost the damage even more. Not sure that cat's will affect the minions though.

No cats doesnt affect minions but the ring grants me almost perma power/frenzy/endurance charges and amazing leech with acuity and i dont have to use farruls gloves, I have an amulet with cats but I prefer my current solution. I might try looking for a shaper/elder one though.
