If we talk about Harvest league,it is so much easier to craft items.You can buy a sceptre with good prefixes(any mixture of +1 fire gems,+1 all spell,spell damage,high rolled fire damage to spells etc.) and maybe bad suffixes(attack mods or resists ideally) and delete those mods from the garden(remove attack mod,remove fire/cold/lightning seeds).Once you have "Augment critical" you can use that to add crit multi and crit chance to spells as suffixes.Make sure you have open suffix on one of your weapons to craft "Trigger socketed spells when you cast"

Can you explain why does ES Shadow have more dps than Life version? Is it because of cluster jewels?

Clusters don't give that much crazy stuff for trap builds so you can skip them entirely.Main dps increase comes from being a low life and using Pain Attunement (%30 more spell damage on low life) and also again,because of playing low life,this means we can reserve buffs from both mana and life and this results in using more aura&buffs for the build.These are all combined give way more dps comparing to a life build and also apply to any kind of trap or mine build.

I am basically playing your build as my league starter for heist.
It's going extremely well, and I absolutely love burning down bosses and mobs in seconds with the flame throwers.

I have a few questions, would love to hear your opinion on them:

- Does Combustion on Firetrap actually ever lower the enemies fire resist?
- How do you like my idea of using Frost Shield to give higher Crit Chance?
- Which anointment would you recommend? I am thinking Heart of Flame or Unstable Munition..
- Anger or Herald of Ash?
- Flammability or Assassins' Mark? I can't really figure out how to test that in PoB...
- Why are you not using skitterbots? I find they are very valuable, since they give extra trap dmg, shock and chill. With the Ascendency 'Explosives Expert' they even give more bonuses.

i played this build(fire trap with kaom's) on blight league and had enchantment - 0.5% damage leeched as life if u killed recently and it worked great, i was perma full hp, but this league it doesnt work. did ggg reworked traps or something, and if they did, do u know anything else that could give some life steal? saboteur regen with traps is ok, but heist and red maps are destroying me.

I am using the Tinkerskin armor to get back Life and Energy Shield.
AFAIK Traps can't leech you life anymore. Only damage you deal yourself

Assassin's mark doesn't work either?

Hello,good to hear you are enjoying the build :)

-Even if you don't crit(thus ignite the monster) with fire trap,the burning ground it leaves on the floor counts as ignite/burn so the enemies' res gets lowered.
-I haven't tried Frost shield on anything right now so not sure about the ES requirement etc. If it works,then why not.
-I already mentioned annointment somewhere in the guide and i'm using Master Sapper.If you want to get Master sapper on tree,it takes a lot of points.You should check PoB to see if Heart of flame is better or not.But make sure you generate Frenzy Charges!
-I usually replace Herald of ash with Aspect of Spider to increase my survivability.Using Anger all the time and get a Watcher's Eye in end game with Anger mod.You can't scale Herald of Ash enough in late game cause there isn't a Watcher's eye mod.(it isn't aura)
-Both curses provide similar dps most of the time(unless you are low on crit) so use the one that you can.
-Skitterbots are fine if you're using Explosive Experts but their mana reserve is %35 so that means you can't replace Herald of ash(%25).If you are willing to get mana reserve from annointment or something else,then you can use it.But it doesn't worth the effort.

Those kind of leech statements(enchant or not doesn't matter) never worked for traps,mines and totems.You probably had better gear and positioning before in Blight.If you want better healing,you should play Scion version.They still haven't nerfed Agnostic(keystone on talent tree) so better abuse it before they do something about it.
And for your other question,assassin's mark works.
