What do you guys think about MF in its current state?

MF is fine. The players are the problem.

3 Bisco's collars. Leashes I found around 12.

I also found a 2 socket Bubonic, a 2 Socket Tombfist, Skyforth yesterday from a T16 incursion loot fest, 1 shimmeron, 2 Dying sun's, around 7 exalted drops and several multiple ex rares. It's been a good league I cannot complain. I also hit level 4 on 3 Enlighten gems but sold them.

Probably agreed with ^ but equally i think its not good design, primarily because a majority of drops are not associated with item level so the cost of MF can be ignored.

The cost being that you gimp your character to run extra magic find, but actually you find the same items as someone running 8mod T16's just you can do yours far faster and with greater safety.

Its boring AF though so it doesn't personally influence me, I just don't get involved the thought of running 300 burial chambers makes me want to vomit.
I like the spot mf is right now it doesn't need to be pushed beyond what it is now though, I like the idea of weapons like windripper that encourages if you want to mf this is the best way to go with it. I just hope there will be more weapons so people won't just use windripper for it. Maybe add a staff that gives you quant/rarity per zombie you have summoned or a wand that makes you need to do a certain thing to get the quant/rarity buff in loot.
It is........incomplete in PoE.

In other games we have played, MF has typically been designed as a mechanic from the start. Meaning the designers had MF in mind as they designed gear and drop tables/percentages.

In this game, it feels like GGG added MF much later, such that it is a shredded, poorly fitting layer over the base game design.

There has been some thought towards MF item design, where the better MF items obviously sacrifice power and survivability to wear, but it still doesn't feel quite right.
MF is fine. And fun to play.

The problem is in the rest.
Playing without MF gear is boring and non rewarding close to not at all.
i played all the way into 94,5 before i died with 0% IIR or IIQ.

not bad at all in the leagues, STD is a big no-no though ;)

you can pretty much get the same things as someone with iir/iiq but you have to run tripple amount of maps, pick up and vendor more items (lol what the f is this even) or get lucky.

So you want to nerf the only way of playing the economy by actually playing the game?

After that we will only have meta builds and flipping as a resource for those expensive items. As you said it took you an entire week to get the fucking thing. And you didn't even finished the card sets, just bought 75% of it. You really want to have trading as the only way to farm your items?

The next topic is low tier vs high tier maps. The problem here is map drops and rare red tier being way more punishing which means slower clear. Also higher item level for rare items doesn't matter in high maps because looting and inventory space absolutely sucks and picking rares is just unefficient.

MF is perfect on it's way. We simply need a buff to rare items in red maps and better red map boss loot.

The problem is that truly challenging content T15+ with hard mods are not as rewarding as they should be pose a huge risk to exp gains where as you can gimp some stats and steamroll mid-high or low tier maps for headhunter cards at little exp risk.
