The level of the spectre is limited by 3 things:

Desecrate: Creates Corpses up to Level (20-100)
Raise Spectre: Raises Spectres up to Level (32-100)
Map/Zone Level Act 1: The Coast to Shaper's Realm (2-84)

Once you have a level 19 Desecrate (and +1 chaos wand), you can create max level corpse. Level 19 Raise Spectre can raise max level spectre.

If you use Phantasms, then CD will increased their damage; Fire Pen will not.

I use 6L rare or Tabula; skipping 5L Vis.

Can any1 concur? Though the author did mention it can "only be obtained from azurite mines". I am confused how a specific area can drop a special modifier.

The +1 spectre chest and 30-35% jewellery all drop in the mine.

OK. So there has been a stealth nerf to FEs:

Here're their basic stats in 3.6:


Compare that to 3.7:



Note the massive nerf to the cast rate. Also a slight increase to damage.


So when you import the current PoB you get:

It's a pretty big nerf, but it's not completely hopeless. I demonstrated a 4-link Uber Elder kill in 3.6 (https://youtu.be/iB4VI5iLiHo) in which my FEs had less DPS than what you see in the 3.7 PoB (613k vs 672k).

Also the PoB has Vaal Haste, but it's not enabled. If you turn that on, the FE DPS will go to 767k and combined with Shock on Focus 895k. And when you get a -9% fire helmet: 957k.

Sadly, not a 5mil+ build anymore. Thanks GGG.

Sidenote:
It may seems like they now do less DPS than SGs, but you would usually run SGs with GMP, so their DPS is lower than if you simply swap spectres.

Thats pretty big nerf tbh esp with all rares and magic monsters hp upped by 100% delve rares and legion ones are really tanky.

1. The nerf was only for FE? Interested in SG and FS now
2. Magrette's build uses FS, but skilltree looks very different from basic build. Full tree respec needed, or we can just swap FE to FS, using basic skilltree?
