Active Skill Gem Popularity in Incursion Event (IRE001)

Method - Count level 20+ active skill gems, online and offline on poe.trade. Vaal Gem counts are combined into their original ones(which would make a little bias since some Vaal gems have distinct usage from normal ones like Vaal Summon Skeletons and Vaal Cold Snap).

Attention - These numbers may not be the true popularity on several(especially auxiliary) gems, like Lightning Warp vs. Flame Dash. Players would like to replace the former with a quality one in mid game which would be less likely to get onto the market. Also some gems like Enduring Cry and Desecrate matters little around their levels which will not facilitate their trades. Finally the market is only a close representation of the realm...

Very nice! Been wanting to see a post like this. So that people will see which skill needs rework/revamp/buff. I hope "they"will give attention to those weak tier skills.

However, i am sure there is some top end bias in there.
I would imagine that people will sell more of what's popular and that that market has excess supply relative to demand.

That was way too much effort for something that could be summarised by BV/EH/Arc are the OP fotm skills lol, but Its still nice to see it posted in such a brutal fashion.

There are actually so many biases(So I wonder why GGG doesn't give official statistics on active skill popularity. I've only seen posts on area and ascendency classes). One example is somebody is selling, say, 2x Bear Trap gem. It could be that he has 2x gem, or he has 2x forum posts that sell his only Bear Trap gem. So this would never be an accurate one, just rough estimation.

People find what is popular and sell these popular ones? That's an effect which would amplify the number of very popular gems on the market(and has little effect on non-popular ones). So the actual user of Arc and Elemental Hit etc should be lower than these numbers.
