Hi, I'm going to follow the build.
I started the game last league and I'm going to continue until I kill uber elder.

I was playing trickster winter orb, and we receive full point refund.
I read your guide and it looks really interesting and path of building shows great dps.
I understand it's good for clearing, but is it good for boss fight?
I watched your youtube videos but I'm not sure it's strong because of your expensive gears or build.

And is there alternative to gears?

Hello, you very likely want to upgrade your gloves and try to get higher hp on your rares (amulet, boots, at least 1 ring), and ultimately get Watcher's Eye.

What about using elder gloves to free 1/2 links and using CoC linked to GC linked to Shield Charge, while using a Vagan dagger or literally anything else in your main hand? It looks like it should do more damage per second - the Rippling Thoughts 4-link gives you a level 21 Storm Cascade * 1.55 * 1.45 * 1.27 * 2 casts per second, while with a Cast on Crit setup on your gloves you can get a level 21 GC * 1.40 * 6.67 casts per second with no links, which is 1.40*(20/3)/(1.55*1.45*1.27*2), or about 64% more damage per second, also freeing up your weapon slot. With enough damage on the rest of your gear it should still be enough to easily kill trash with one Shield Charge (though I haven't tested it). What do you think?

Numbers don't lie, but there is more to it. Thanks to their mechanics, the Cascade skills cause their areas of effect to overlap, making Concentrated Effect a very powerful support gem as it double-dips, so to speak. I lack the knowledge to give hard numbers, but you'd probably be looking at very similar dps.

Replacing Fortify with Concentrated Effect would make a huge difference, but I don't feel good about dropping fortify (and it would be a pain to have to re-balance my resists for The Wise Oak... yet again).

All in all, I'm positive it could be better, specially with a really strong main-hand weapon such as a legacy stat-stick. It's definitely something to consider if you're an above average player. Otherwise, I would still recommend The Rippling Thoughts.

I see. Additionally, it looks like there are no Elder Insanity gloves with Faster Attacks and the legacy Cast on Crit corruption, though non-Insanity and non-Faster Attacks ones are available for rather steep prices. (Shame, it doesn't look like it would be that hard to make one, it would have cost 25-50ex at most in 3.1 and 3.2, where it was possible to create such.) The bright side is, it's the perfect chase item for all autobombers.
