Sure. I don't know if the craftable ele damage leech is still possible. I haven't seen it except on delve mods.

Your discipline aura was not enabled. This seems to be a common one people are missing. When you add vaal discipline, the PoB doesn't automatically enable discipline. Seems like that should be changed.

You don't have any energy shield recovery in your PoB. You need to put manually put the pantheon buffs into your PoB. This is also a common one people are missing.

You are not using a beast fur shawl, so you should definitely get high roll energy shield recovery on your belt. I think you can skip the CDR (at least until GGG fixes it not being needed).

Your watcher's eye can be 1% better.

You should buy better heartbound loops. perfect regen and ES rolls shouldnt be more than 1-2 Chaos.

You have more ES nodes you can take.

Your CWDT should be lvl 3, 10, or 17/18. The thresholds might be a little different without beast fur shawl, not sure. It is easy to calculate though, just look at the CWDT table on the wiki.


Here is new one. You still fall short by about 100 es per second, but this is sustainable in mapping because of vile bastion / vaal discipline / sulphur flask

You need just a little bit better gear, reallocate your points to ES, and get a few more levels. I think you can play with your current build, as long as you are in dense maps. Other option is to drop to .3s duration skeleton instead of .24s until your gear is better.

Finally swapped some gear around fixed resistances and comfortably clearing t10s with the lightning setup. Is leech still available in betrayal? I assume from a veiled mod.
Wanted to stop by and say I rolled one of these in Betrayal and it's working beautifully - thanks for the guide! Haven't fully scaled it to .24sec cast points, but it's still smashing the atlas fine which is all I really wanted it to do. Instead of Malediction, I went for Frigid Wake with the assumption that Void Beacon was effectively a third curse. Link setup looks something like:

(Shaped wand) CWDT4-Frostbolt13-Volley-IceNova10-ControlledDestruction
(helmet) Vortex-ArcaneSurge-Bonechill-Hypothermia

with the idea that Frostbolt + Ice Nova + Vortex would be adequate trash clear, and I could stack the other two DoT's for single target. I'm sure i can push it further. I'm running into a slight snag having enough gem links, too - trying to run three auras and three full dps links makes it a tight squeeze (I haven't even actually fully linked my chest because I need somewhere to put Stone Golem!)

For the brand variant, I think conceptually you shouldn't be using either the Brand or the Brand Recall in CWDT; I looked at your import and you have much more unreserved mana than it takes to cast Armageddon Brand, and they last for so long because of the +30% duration from Mistress of Sacrifice and spamming Brand Recall; shouldn't have any trouble keeping them all active without automating them.

Just move Blood Rage into the Spirit Offering 4L, and have your 3L weapon be BrandRecall-ArcaneSurge + something like Shield Charge (with your 288% IAS, should go fast), and also use Controlled Destruction instead of CWDT on the brand; loads more dps to be found that way. My edit is showing 880k with two brands attached - pretty respectable for a hipster-tier build!

In fact, you may even consider running Fortify over Arcane Surge, and lowering the level of your CWDTs. Since you're not using CWDT to automate any DPS spells in this build, you don't actually need to be taking the full 735; a level 1 CWDT is adequate for Unearth, Offering, and Skele loops.

Effectively, you've dedicated 3 4L's and your entire ascendancy to getting a bunch of resists and 288% cast speed

I haven't seen any craftable leech mods. You can craft flasks with life regen on them, though.

Nice getting the cold spells working! For more gem links, could try getting corrupted gloves with curse on hit, or corrupted heartbound loop with an aura.

I saw your brand video. I thought the spells / attacks would be a lot faster (although you are missing some corpses, and your loop isnt that fast?) Maybe I don't understand the brand mechanic fully. I had thought that the delay between cast and hit would be reduced by cast speed. is there a fixed delay after every time it detaches or re-attaches?

I agree with not needing CWDT on brand or brand recall. I had mentioned this briefly in the thread, but I like using shield charge. I forgot about all the attack speed this gets. What did you mean by CDR being unusable and needing to use 97% reduced duration?

you have too much armour. If you are playing occultist, 0 armor is deal, maybe between 0-50 is still OK for the thresholds. Would have to do the math for a 350 dmg hit against your armor.

If you use Necro, you can have armour and take the +2 summoned skeletons, and drop 1 heartbound loop (1050 phys damage before armour)

As I understand it, the +30% duration from Mistress of Sacrifice makes it impossible to keep Immortal Call's duration below that of a 98% reduced skeleton. Our best bet is a Q20 Less Duration to give it only +20% duration, but the problem is that at every gem level of Less Duration, IC will always last longer than the 98% reduced skeleton; therefore, we're forced to use a 97% reduced skeleton, and thus our lowest possible skeleton duration is 0.3sec at 21/20 Less Duration.

Like you suggested, I'm currently playing around with Bone Sculptor and only wearing one Heartbound Loop; it's not that much harder to sustain once you get big enough spirit offerings. My first thought was doing something with Timetwist and Warped Timepiece to lower IC's duration further, but it feels very un-worth the investment. I think we just have to accept that 0.3sec is our loop timer, and thus we get 120 corpses recently at best (with Dying Sun, which I don't have). Still, it makes being a Necro feel better; we profit one ring slot, and actually have a use for the other half of our ascendancy!


And yeah, unfortunately no quantity of cast speed reduces how long it takes for a meteor to impact. Neither does Less Duration, or anything else as far as I can tell; the damage is always going to be delayed. Cast speed lowers how long it takes for the brand to cast a second meteor, which results in high DPS numbers, but the skill remains clunky at best. I find that you need lots of Increased AoE and Brand Attachment Range to smooth it out, but even then we have to deal with the slowness of the damage; think of it as Unrighteous Fire, where we charge into everything spamming Brand Recall and eventually they die.
The alternative would be Storm Brand, but I can't seem to make Storm Brand's dps numbers look good in PoB. Armageddon Brand has 120% damage-effectiveness-per-second (90% with a 0.75sec trigger time) and Storm Brand only has 70% (35% with a 0.5sec trigger); plus I'd need to drop Purity of Elements and the Herald for Wrath, which cramps build space and a bunch of other ugliness. The payoff is that Storm Brand doesn't feel clunky, though...

Is warlords mark a viable choice for mapping? I was going to try it for leech but i assume the end charge generation will break the loop / immortal call timings
