Funny, I just got to maps and I'm hitting this thread up to ask how the f*ck my Spectres are supposed to survive? They die in literally 1 hit, T1 map with some extra damage, nothing too bad. Summoned in Hideout and again in Map after they died... they also do no damage, with 4 spectres I still need to hang back behind them and wait for them to kill packs. Using Solar Guards.

I do not have Necromantic Aegis yet as I was trying this as a starter build with no trading so I couldn't get a useful shield, but I was not expecting the Spectres to be this useless without gear in a build boldly titled *BEST LEAGUE STARTER*

Not sure how your spectres are dieing. Clearly your doing something wrong , as angry is absolutely right , they don’t die easy ... I summoned hideout spectre to do the actual story mode of game . Hideout is monster level 60 ( keep that in mind ).

As for general mapping , keep two things in mind .
1) summon your spectre in a map . The highest tier you have or at least whatever tier your running , that will have your spectres way more powerful than hideout spectre .

2) most importantly , make sure your desecrate gem is leveled ! If your gem is lvl 5 , your going to be spawning some prettt crappy spectres wherever you spawn them and that’s gonna be a major problem . (This is a common problem people do , as hey have dex problems early on and lock their desecrate gem at a low level and don’t unlock it )

If the concern is you can't see any buff icons near your minion counts it's because Generosity prevents auras from affecting you and Blasphemy only shows up as a debuff on enemies.

As long as your mana is being reserved they are active. If you expand the skill hotkeys you will also be able to see a spinning circle showing the auras active.

Angry have you considered also to add animated guardian to your setup ?

With a dying breath they get 18% more dmg and other bonuses like leer cast and so on.

it's just increased damage, not MORE damage. Very small increase.
Animated Guardian is not needed with spectres, since Skeletons deliver 1 million shaper dps.
