Because for scarabas to be worth that much you need specific things. Firstly, you need to be VERY deep in delve, which takes time (and sulphite ofc). You need to be ale to run those delves as well, which cant be done by just some random build you decided to make, you need make build specificialy for this.

Why do people sell atziri pieces/uber atziri pieces and goddess pieces? Answer? It requires you to run them and it's not convenient. For scarabs also, people need to like/be able to do those delves so it CAN be profitable, but it doesn't mean that it will be depending on who uses it.

I prefer strongboxes just like someone above since that means more chances for mobs/diviner/cartographer boxes.
