Heres my setup, clears everything easy, insane map clear, and every item self crafted with Harvest.

Why do I see people run 6L bow with toxic rain and 6L armor with caustic arrow? What's the point of having both the abilities?

Do you guys recommend Steel skin or immortal call when linked with CWDT support? Assuming I don't generate any endurance charges at all.

I prefer self-casting Steelskin linked to increased duration, then binding it to left-mouse (move). You don't get the extra protection for big hits, but in exchange, a level 20/21 steel skin effectively gives you an extra, semi-permanent 2500 EHP. It's up around 80% most of the time, especially during boss fights.

The only downside is that it will cancel your use of Withering Step if you aren't careful, but I mostly use WS to apply a quick debuff to a boss or group of enemies, instead of using it as a movement speed buff for traveling.

Having Steelskin as manual cast frees up a potential CwDT setup, but there aren't a ton of good choices. Phase run is kind of nice, or maybe ice nova.
How many of you guys are running CA for map clear? The speed of it feels better but the higher tier map mobs are starting to die pretty slow for me. TR doesn’t feel super great for speed clear since I only have a 1.5 APS bow.

I'm looking for the Malevolence has % reduced mana reservation suffix on my necklace. Any suggestions on how I can get that craft? Can I lock in my prefixes using bench and keep rolling until i get the suffix?

The reduced Maloevence mana reservation is Hunter suffix. It has the mana and aura tags, so it can't be targeted by harvest crafts. There are a couple of ways you can shoot for it.

First, you could lock prefixes (e.g. fill up all prefixes with crafts and or permanent affixes) than slam Hunter exalt. Unfortunately, you have a pretty low chance of hitting Malovence. The affix has a weight of 500, out of a total of 6500 for all Hunter suffixes (according to poedb). Since you already have chaos dot damage, that reduces the total weight by 1000 (to 5500). You could further reduce this by dropping your chaos resist, then spamming remove/add fire/cold/lightning until you hit another DOT multi (which you will remove once finished). That would reduce your total weight by another 1000, to 4500. That means that you only have a 1 in 9 chance of hitting it with a slam. You would most likely end up hitting another (fire, cold, lightning) DOT multi instead (which isn't horrible, since you can target remove it with harvest). But you also have a 1 in 4.5 chance of hitting "reduced attribute requirements", which is one of the worst suffixes you can roll, and can't be target removed by harvest. It would effectively brick your amulet to only 2 suffixes.

Instead, the best way to get either of the desirable hunter suffixes (Malo mana reduction, or % chance to gain power/frenzy/endurance charge) is to spam alts/augmentations on a magic amulet until you get both +1 dex and one of the two affixes. But that will take a lot of alteration orbs. I estimate around 2k - 3k. Then once you have those two affixes, you can best imprint, and then craft everything else you need.

I posted a full amulet crafting guide on page [261] for more information.

Would it be worth to continue crafting on this? If i somehow get attack speed via harvest and then multimod? (not sure if +2 bow is worth it, also i forgot to quality the base)
I have this temple armor:

I was thinking about making an explosive chest out of this, removing the Defense mod and adding a Max Life/Mana % Bench Craft.

Or is it better to get as much ES/Eva from the prefixes?

Not worth it IMO. The main point of multi-modding is to get a total to +3 to your TR, and you already have that. With the +2 bow on there, you can't add a +2 support.

To multi-mod anything worth-while you would need to:
1. Remove bleed via harvest (remove attack)
2. Add attack speed
3. Quality it up to 27 via Hillock bench
4. Spam Harvest weapon quality for either +attack speed, or +area of effect
6. Multi-mod chaos dot multi, and +strength/+quality.

There are not a ton of worthwhile multi-mod crafts, and remember that unlike single crafts, to reroll multi-mod, you have to pay the multi-mod cost (2ex) each time, and + quality is the only worthwhile multi-mod after chaos dmg, imo.

The attack speed quality enchant increases every 8%, and the area of effect is 4%, so depending on which you hit, you want to hit 31, 35, 39, 43, 47% quality. Even with a perfect roll on the craft, you are only at 27 + 18 = 45%, which is a nice, but not huge boost to attack speed or area of effect. I don't think it is worth the cost.

Instead, if you really want a god-tier bow and have the currency, go with an influenced base and build it up.

But I would just remove bleed, add attack speed, and maybe look for a resist or something you are short on.

I think explody is overkill for this build, although it does make such a satisfying sound when mobs die. I don't think this build suffers at all regarding map speed, especially once you get into the muscle memory habit of darting to the next pack before the first pack is dead, then darting back to pick up loot.

Also, there are better ways to speed up map clear if you really want to. First, you could switch out gems (or switch to off-hand) and use a Caustic Arrow + pierce quiver. To be the increased clear speed isn't worth it, but its an option.

Additionally, you can use a
.

The combination of high-level rain of arrows + despair means that everything your TR hits is instantly cursed. Not having to manually cast despair lets me kill even juiced mob packs on T16 maps with only one or two volleys.

I think damage on the build is fine once you have a level 30 Toxic Rain (21 based, +3 from bow, +2 from an amulet, +4 from empower) and a single cluster setup. But I want to level this build to the high 90s, so I really, really hate dying.

The chest is the single best source of survivability (well next to a Watcher's Eye), and I a good defensive setup is pretty easy to buy or craft.

This is what I'm currently running:

I plan on dropping two of the resist so I can multi-mode life as energy shield and 25% chance to avoid ailments. That will bring me to 100% avoid and I can leave my helmet setup alone.

I started to build an alternate bow for Caustic Arrow, but after playing with it and watching some vids, it just didn't seem worth it.

Instead, I spent the time to craft a good +3 bow w/ attack speed and purchased a Maloney's quiver. Being able to curse the full pack on hit (combined with a level 30 TR) means that I kill even juiced T16 packs with only one or two volleys.
