That cluster is only useful for elementalists and POB warriors. In reality, your golems will be dead 24/7.

TR stacks with itself, so you don't have "empty" spots in the rotation. Any moment you can do damage, you use toxic rain.

Caustic arrow is another story, it doesn't stack with itself so indeed you have to worry what are you gonna do with the downtime.

Caustic arrow is good for early levelling though if you don't have high attack speed. Once you get to the point you can machine gun shoot TR, then you wanna focus on TR alone.

HOA is a different build. It can use toxic rain as a skill, but it will mostly scale either poison or HOA damage, not the toxic rain damage itself.

You can check Angry Roleplayer's HOA build in the ranger section of the forum, but fair warning it's a completely different build and focuses on different stats.

Personally I prefer the version that is presented in this thread, focusing on toxic rain alone without any poison / HOA. It is fully viable for boss killing.

What alternatives are there to a modded bow for later game? i don't usually get enough currency to afford that kind of stuff. are there unique's i can use or maybe just go for a cheaper rare?

Is quil rain worth using while leveling?

You can buy a +2 bow, craft chaos multi from the bench once you unveil it, and then save currency to self craft the end game bow. Unless the new bosses drop some pog weapon for this kind of build, crafted is a necessity, but buying ready-made 6-linked fully-crafted one is always paying a tax for someone else's efforts, making one yourself should be on average cheaper.

Not sure if it's something you left out on purpose or not but in the 3.9 PoB, Wither doesn't show being in a spell totem setup. Is this still going to be used or is it still to be determined?

Been running a set up and it seems to really help against the meta-morphs so long as they don't die to quickly + you get the 'Ensnared Enemies take (15-20)% increased Projectile Damage from Attack Hits'. Don't believe this affects our DoT damage but still, every little bit helps. Got a G-G-R link bow at the moment I'm thinking of trying LMP or pierce with it. Not sure which would be better for trash clearing or if it would be better to go with something else.

Something 'odd' i did notice is that Acrobatics/Phase Acrobatics doesn't seem to scale well at lower levels. Just hit 34 and i ended up dropping those and putting the points into Void Barrier and Started filling in towards Revenge of the Hunted and I'm now a fair bit tankier for it. I'm assuming this is because we just dont have enough evasion at lower levels to really make use of those nodes while losing the 50% less Armor and 30% less Energy Shield.

Edit: Forgot to mention i swapped out Dash for Withering Step. Phasing + stack of 4 Wither debuff on enemies you run through. Fire TR once to get Mirage Archer > Pop Withering Step and Quicksilver and run through everything while Mirage Archer mows stuff down!

would a Lioneye's fall jewel be usefull? Just got one and they are like 50c still on league.

also the Lioneye'S Boots are great! until maps and maybe even early maps.
