(3.14) Toxic Rain + Caustic Arrow | 5-10m Sirus DPS | Fast + Durable | 50c Budget/SSF Uber Elder

I bought a bow early in the league to get a 6L. It only has the +2 gem and no explicit AS.



Two questions:

1) is the better craft AS or the Chaos Dot Multi?
2) Is there going to be much of a power difference between current bow and a +2 with AS explicit to justify the cost? Or should I just wait until I have enough currency later in league to craft a +3?

1. Chaos DOT multi, by quite a bit.
2. It's not a huge difference in power... but it's also not a huge cost, either. The next jump up in power is going to be 6-7ex, while re-crafting this one is going to cost ~13c each shot at it. You'll probably hit AS long before you hit even a fraction of the cost of the next bow. Plus you've also got the chance to hit +3 if you get lucky with the Shrieking Essence of Dread.

After failing with alt spam i found a bow for 10c with 2 dead stats and managed to anull off both.




It has a 16% atk speed hybrid roll from incursion which is cute and i guess it makes it unique from the other bows in a way.

gonna multimod after it decides to link for +2 support and 40% chaos dot mult.

It wont be perfect but im happy with it.

In my head I was thinking I'm going to need to buy another base to try it on while I'm attempting to make the new bow. It's obvious when you point it out that every attempt I'll just get right back to where I started. ha!

Probably not even going to try and roll another bow, the +1 over +2 was annoying, but I like the bow and the fact I've got +1 on amulet kind of makes up for it

Anyone tried rolling quivers with fossils? Abberant fossils are fairly cheap.
Rolled an ok set of gloves
- not perfect but will do me for now.

Also 'accidently' 6 linked my chest - running a caustic arrow setup for a bit more dps, but not sure if a better option. Could run toxic rain ballistas, but would probably need to use withering touch (As can't run wither totems as well) and they are going to die pretty easily unless I invest in ballista nodes.

+1 of socketed bow gems (t2)
29% to damage over time multiplier (t2)
16% attack speed (t2)

not really sure what to do now, better try to remove the +1 or i still possible to craft +2 support?

Nice build! Total noob in crafting, but I managed to get a decent bow with a help of this thread.



If im not mistaken, I could still craft +2 support gem with multimod? Got one prefix open. Yeah, there is one dead affix, but im ok with that (for now) :)

Abberant only really helps if you start with a Hunter base. Those aren't that expensive at the moment tho, 15-20c for the base if you want ilevel 80+.

Are you running a CA ballista or self cast? If it's self cast, it probably just looks like more damage - tooltip is more accurate for CA. Use the calcs in the guide, it will give you a much clearer picture. (CA doesn't stack, TR does.)

As long as you still have an open prefix, you can craft +2 support gems. For that matter, ideally you would craft "Can have up to 3 crafted mods" then "+2 support gems" then "Chaos damage multiplier". However that first craft is a couple exalts IIRC, so for the now just craft +2 support or chaos damage multi, then scour that off when you have the currency for the multi-mod craft.
