That is just convenience combo for leveling, ideally you want that Ass Mark ring. Of course HoI/HoT + coh works just fine as well (except on bosses) and if you prefer it you can use it, I just really liked this interaction so I mentioned it in guide, and it actually also works really well for low level clear, because storm cascade deals a lot of damage.

Shield Charge in 3.7 is just so good, and if you are using shield, then shield charge is mostly just superior movement skill atm over anything else (except jumping gaps ofc). But you can use it with e.g Leap Slam as well, or, just with Cyclone because its attack too, I mentioned Shield Charge because it synergizes with it the most.

So I have to ask, is the only reason you switched from staff to one hand the price? Is the staff worth crafting for more damage?

Well, crafting the multimodded sceptre is pretty expensive as well. The reason why I switched the main version to one hand is more survivability, fortify and shield charge.

The one hand version ofc has less damage than staff version, so yes, its definitely worth making the staff. But also, Disintegrator is actually more DPS than CwC staff, only downside is the degen, but I think its manageable with this build.

Don't have trigger on weapon yet, so don't even use Purifying Flame - it's too clunky to manually cast.

Also use inc. aoe everywhere except uber, don't know how u do maps with conc. effect.
Thinking about going one more herald to do more aoe on Legion encounters.

Very nice. And yeah, mapping with conc effect is quite bad, gem swap is mostly required. Also, it is actually possible to do 2 Heralds + Hatred + Discipline if you take Charisma on tree (I experimented with it before), but its 6 points so it is maybe a bit overkill, but if your damage is already good enough, it is very nice for clear.

Patch clearly broke something, got like 70% less tooltip damage. Not sure about real one, gonna test later.

I've been thinking about doing that with a 6 link on my staff and an enlighten gem.

I'm running HoI + HoA + Hatred + Discipline with no problem, I have like 100 mana left but it's more than enough

Thank you guys for keeping this build updated. I really enjoy the build. Just to share my two cents, I have added Precision aura to the build. It costs 19 mana reservation and we get 3.28%ish crit chance.

I think it was just visual bug with Light of Lunaris giving like 500-600 crit multi that they patched last patch.

Lvl 1 one? I guess that makes sense, it adds like 100k dps on final build, what is pretty neglible, or, at least less than other sockets we use. But still valid option (for comparison Combustion adds 185k DPS).
