Item Rarity support gem
" also, as I stated I believe that monsters killed by the explosion are not effected. Try it with your HS and see if you notice a difference. It is most notable in conjunction with IIQ Последняя редакция: thepmrc#0256. Время: 15 мар. 2013 г., 15:13:36

" Also recently, IIR/IIQ supports were not working with Culling Strike. I know that 99% of complaints are people not understanding the 'random' part of RNG, but at the same time, threads exactly like this have uncovered problems in the past. |

@Pneuma is there an update-able wiki list of what works with Item Rarity and what doesn't? a knowledge-base of sorts?
I think such a list would be very helpful to both players like me (to decide what to use it with), and to the GGG developers trying to zero-in on problems with this gem - if any - as a means of efficient beta player feedback. actually, a full "what works with what" skill-gems list is a better idea, but that would be harder both to read and maintain. correct me if i'm wrong but if RNG ( -->random<-- number generator) can be affected by IIR and IIQ then its not really random is it? derp

" If its modified by what your toon has or doesnt have it isnt random lol...random means just that, random. Your basically saying its random....but u can change (modify) the outcome. which is a contradiction, or at least sounds like it. maybe someone can explain it better.... I'd really love to know in GREAT, intimate detail exactly how that algorithm works tbh, cuz IIR and IIQ hasnt done much of anything for me....matter of fact my higher toons (75+) that have quite high values seem to indeed drop waaaaay less stuff than my lower levels with no IIR or IIQ whatsoever. Just something i've noticed after hundreds of hours of play. Obviously you cant see any difference in the short term, but i feel like i've been playing long enough to establish a baseline so to speak "They removed guaranteed chests because they were way too easy to abuse." " IIQ/IIR did not work miracles for me either. Another good member explained earlier: "a +75% chance, added to a very small number, is still a very small number" All random number generators work based on mathematical algorithms. There are many types of RNGs. There have to be criteria for how the random number is extracted from a pool. Those criteria can be flexible. Your IIR/IIQ will modify the algorithm, which will still be an RNG algorithm though :) At least, this is how it's supposed to work. A mathematician could explain this better to you, but there are countless sources for RNG on the web. placeholder for creative sig

One thing to understand about IIR and IIQ is that they scale with each other - you really need IIQ to make IIR useful (Unlike IIR, IIQ is useful by itself, but it's also a lot harder to get lots of)
If it's true that Item Rarity does not affect the explosion from Infernal Blow, then that leaves me to wonder: Why the fuck not GGG? |
