I don't check it because it's strictly for clearing and has low uptime, but the thing about PoB dps that the whole POE community doesn't get, is that you should be checking and unchecking things for all manner of situations, there is no set 'never check these boxes' rule, you should play around with all the things to get a sense of what those things do for your gameplay.

To reiterate, I love having onslaught on kill, but I don't check it because a: low uptime, b: only 'on kill' as opposed to on hit or crit, c: too random.

I have thought about it, but I feel like I outdid myself last league, pretty much covered all content. I could do Sirus 8 again just to showcase the build's performance post-nerf, but that's about it.

Hello! i am currently playing your build this league and was hoping for some advice and suggestions on my next couple of improvements to work towards. I am really enjoying the play style of the build so far. I am a bit on the squishy side of things but could just come from lack of gear atm. Your priorities are a bit misplaced. You probably have super low life and low accuracy. You have a 6 link belly, but no assassins mark ring, tailwind on your boots but not fortify. Fix those things first. Get a better neck as well, it needs high physical damage and multiplier. You shouldn't have to cover resists on your neck, get those elsewhere. Until those are fixed, as well as your tree, I see your post that you're working on that now, don't worry about trying to do t14s. You'll get there.

Playing around in POB it seems I need a 500+ pDPS sword to actually push DPS higher. At the moment I got quite the few EX's sitting in my chest but nothing to spend it on. This is my first "proper" endgame build and as such I think I need some guidance.

What would you suggest?

Hey sorry but quick question for your passive tree, bottom left there are nodes you spec into, are those still the nodes used in 3.11? They don't seem like they are worth the points since right now looks like they are aura/mace nodes

Wait I found them just ever so slightly shifted, sorry. I'm a bit newer and so the node map is still an adjustment thanks for the guide though!

Heya, I think you're coming along fine man, just keep at it. Get a jewel to stick in the 3rd empty slot or refund the points. Nothing wrong with refunding the points, better to put those passive points elsewhere until you have a good speed/multi/life jewel. The Plague Shine jewel you have equipped isn't great either, even for 1 point, the best thing on a jewel is life %. You have enough resists on your gear already, and should never need to fill your resists from jewels. Get an abyss jewel for your belt that has 30ish life. Switch Ruthless on double strike for melee phys damage. Ruthless is your 6th link. Get your 6 link Belly when able, and see about getting a Paradoxica similar to mine and/or test in PoB and you will have much better single target. I think what you have so far is a great start. Nothing standing out as a dire need, just keep upgrading and leveling. Oh, and get a Taste of Hate and Lion's Roar, 2 more huge upgrades. You will triple your dps in no time.

Here is a PoB with the important things checked like Elusive, rare enemy nearby, etc, and Intimidated unchecked because intimidate is from awakened melee phys:

Swap those Brutal Blade nodes on the sword when in the right and get the Rampart fortify nodes in the bottom left. Your jewels all have really low attack speed and multi, I search for 6% or higher, make sure and use Count groups and flag every attack speed mod for swords so you're not just seeing 'attack and cast speed'. Multi should be 12% or higher, 15 preferably.

Your swords are decent, but a Paradoxica will beat them. I just did a search for 160 dps Paras and the first one is 30c and is a 10% dps increase for you. Try to find one with impale chance also, but I see none online currently. You could also get awakened melee phys for the intimidate chance, then use Tora in research to add big xp to it to level it quicker. Crafting Tailwind/Fortify boots is pricey, but Tailwind is amazing. Harvest craft your shaper ring. Keep at it, and you'll be over 10 mill in no time.

Ok, so jewels are updated now and it's good, but i'm a bit confused about Paradoxica - according to POB it doesn't give much more DPS?

I bought one which seems to lower all DPS considerably vs my old 1h foil
