BL hits 15-20m on the same budget.

The leveling guide says "Pick up Stormblast Mine at level 1 and link it with pierce and arcane surge if you have a 3 link."

Why Pierce? Stormblast isn't an projectile skill? I don't see any damage upgrade in the tooltip. And it seems that Arcane Surge doesn't activate either from the skill.

EDIT: Ah nevermind. It was just for leveling them until Icicle and Movement skill. I was just confused when the text suggested to link them with Stormblast

So what is the recommended 4 link setup to run at start? The guide is giving mixed advice, with one section saying different than other. At the moment I'm runnin BL + High Impact + Trap and Mine Damage + Ele focus

It depends on the skill, but what you are running is correct for BL. Swift assembly can be in there as well.

Really it has to be trap and mine damage + high impact + the spell itself. 4th while leveling you generally just want the biggest multiplier, which is either swift assembly or ele focus. Once you get your second ascendancy points you will always want to use swift as the 4th link.

Been doing some thinking. What are the first 3 ascendency points that I should use. Thinking of going BL and I am unsure as to which ascendency point I should save for last? I was thinking of allocating Pyromaniac or Born in Shadows last while taking explosive expert, bomb specialist and demolitions specialist in the first 3 labs. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Quick question again.
Explosive expert does give 80% crit chance and 10% ele pen.
Would it hurt much if i take born in the shadows instead?
I mean in dps numbers this cant be that much or am i wrong?
And the more tankyness from born in the shadow fits in better in the
ritual chaos with 1000 monsters everywhere.

Wouldnt take born in the shadows now unless you are playing HC.

its too much dps to pass up. You can get the blind aura from Flesh and Stone.
