Hi Beer I am having trouble surviving and feeling pretty squishy, dying a lot in hard t16s.

How would you improve my char to have better defence? I guess higher ES rolls on the gear, as I have barely 8k ES? Thank you

You have Ghost Reaver but no leeching, so, you dont have survival as you have 50% less ES recharge, you gonna die instant without machina.

Yeah I only have leech from Heart of Ice annoint and my Atziris Promise :/ But I often get oneshot so yeah not sure if this is the issue.

But you deal no damage, your traps does, so, does that leech count?

After consulting the Wiki it apparently does not count. It is my first time playing mines so that was on oversight. I am going to spec out of Ghost Reaver for now then.

I am seeing guys on Poe.Ninja with 10k+ Es so I guess that is where I have to improve.

With the gear levels in the videos it still feels just like that, lower gear levels are really the only place that icicle struggles, as do the other meta mine spells, arc, ball lightning, ice spear etc. the two that do really well on a budget are purifying flame and pyroclast, but those have much

Im interested on the LL option, as CI looks worst but cheaper. Machima is the problem, not cheap, and i dont have any +1 weapons, they smells to rich things too. Without the +1 weapons theres nothing to do? I want to change, as the one im playing is very oneshotable, just 5k ES.

CI is low on the damage side of things, but way cheaper.

You can do it without the +gem levels on icicle, but it will be slower without at least a 23-24 level gem.

+1 weapon, shield and gem itself is a good place to start. They aren’t too expensive.

I’m actually surprised the mitts are expensive as they are. They aren’t a super rare drop from blighted maps. Maybe people just aren’t running the maps much yet?

If you just want to one shot everything and don’t want to invest too much, but don’t care about clear then pyro or purifying flame is your best bet. Just gem levels, LL gear and a decent weapon will destroy everything. However clear is pretty bad for both.

Icicle does need investment to do the same

Yeah generally just better a rolls. Also, don’t spec ghost reaver without leech. Heart of ice does not work with mines.

It does not. Outside of some weird legacy shit, machina mitts are the only way for mines to leach to you.
