i am personally to far away from POE to evaluate the needed changes to the Build. as far as i see, the necromancer changes will maybe change the build a bit, as well as changes to feeding frenzy. Arakaali and the Spiders seems to be uneffected, but who am i to know for sure.

I'm playing that specc again this season and its fun so far. Ok, delirium mobs are op af, but yes.

Not so sure since they are optional and might not go core.

Currently trying this build and loving it this far.
Only level 68 so far, but the spiders are fun.

However I'd prefer to simplify the summoning process or ideally make them self-sustained.
I've tried both the orb of storms and the cyclone way, both have their downsides.
cyclone seems a little more convenient but not foolproof.
need to time the potion with desecrate, before spirit offering is triggered.
Of course if cyclone gets 100% of the worms its not that big of an issue if you miss it, can just spam the potion, at least while mapping.
Furthermore since cyclone is so convenient i'd probably get mistress of sacrifice instead of commander of darkness. Bit of extra chaos resistance for yourself.

On the other hand, with orb of storms you get a solid 18 spiders at once when a worm is killed, seems more stable for bosses.

The mayor issue I have is that the worms are being spawned outside of the attack skills (both orbs of storm and cyclone)
Can imagine with another class cyclone would be fine as it has bigger aoe and damage, but as a necromancer I'm not yet sure what to run.

a bypass would be righteous fire or death aura (death's oath), but both seems a little inconvenient for this build, plus the minions may still ks you on this.

Also toyed with the idea of self sustained spiders. I read that if an affliction (poison or whatever) kills a mob, it will trigger arakaali.
Tested it with infernal legion support, and it did in fact trigger quite a few time.
when mapping this certainly aids, but in the end not better than physical support gems due to the phys -> chaos scaling.
On the other hand I'd love to see a fire version (or another ailment), then the spiders may actually a bit more self reliant.

If anyone here has any more ideas on spider summoning alternatives, I'm all ears!

thats exactly how i felt about that spider spawn.. is there a chance to automate it with autohotkey or a macro?

its my first spider build and it feels a bit weird with that zombies and spectres instant killing the worms :/
Of course it will be possible to macro, but don't think it's allowed to automate it this way.

I switched it up a bit to make the spider spawning easier.
Now having a 4-link with bane-desecrate-inc. aoe-spell cascade.
This way the area is larger and there's less chance of the worms flying out of the damage area, seems more consistent this way.
Switched up orb of storms for bane as the orb does not leave corpses.
So with Bane you can get 20 spiders at once.
However as described in the video, you'd need higher level gems to gain a bit of damage, especially as Bane is a dot.
A possible solution in the meanwhile may be to spec into spiritual aid (left edge of the tree), this way you scale with minion damage nodes. Shouldn't be necessary, but may still aid while you level up gems.

For mapping purposes you could also switch your helmet to the speaker's wreath prophet helm.
This means minions can only finish off mobs with ignite on them, which they won't have with this build.
The exception here is poison, which will finish and is counted as a player kill.
With this the spiders will be self-summoning, provided they keep killing.
Note that other minions will no longer be able to kill mobs, so either add a poison support in the zombie link or equip the severed in sleep sword in your offhand.
Nice for mapping, but for bosses it's a downgrade.
Giving up the baron helmet means giving up solid buffs, so don't think this is the right way overall.

Another thing I'm looking into (but not yet tested) is bino's kitchen knife with herald of agony.
Perhaps even dropping the zombies altogether and run something else, perhaps victario's influence, enlighten 4 and a lot of auras.

While all of the above is nice for mapping, I think you would still have to rely on manual spider spawning with bosses.
