[3.24] Frostbolt/Ice Nova Hierophant | 100m DPS | All Content

I know my build is a bit different than this one, but can anyone tell me why other people running extremely similar builds are simming like 2-3x higher than me? Even people in SSF with decent but not insane gear.
I'm at level 95 and everything is pretty much fine, however I started counting my skill points and there's been some changes to the tree itself/bandit skill point quest; seems that now there's not enough points to administer. Is there a chance you'd post a new PoB with maxed out skill points? cheers.
One question. Why all builds use only +4 projectiles?

Using greater volley + greater projectile on frostbolt get 9 projectiles.


Less DPS? Mana? Slots better used on other thing?
because the frostbolts are not meaningful sources of damage and five projectiles is enough to get full ice nova casts, adding extra projectile gems cuts down of utility/reliability of full echo overlap in exchange for slightly more precise aoe when I cannot actually remember a time playing this build where I wished I had more frostbolts floating around to target. I personally think running slower projectiles is a bad idea, it gives you slightly better damage uptime on stationary targets but makes it much harder to hit targets that move and adds an even longer delay between when you start casting and when you start dealing damage.
Yeah, Ice Nova of Frostbolts can only expand from up to 4 Frostbolts, so adding more doesn't do much.

As for Slower Projectiles, it's largely a matter of preference. I used to not slot it, but nowadays I always do. Mobs usually move towards the player, which is even worse for faster projectiles than a stationary target. As for the travel time, it's not that impactful because I usually cast from near melee range anyways.

Hierophant lost 50% reduced mana cost of skills too, along with Archmage Support being nerfed.
Arcinde, I love this build and got 40 challenges done twice with it. I would like to give it a go once more. So I would like to know. Do you think this is a good build still? Is it good for harvest farm (Harvest farm is so chill I love it)? Will you ever update the guide? I see it stopped on 3.24...

INoF got hit hard with the nerfs in 3.26, making it expand off only 2 frostbolts, instead of 4. Vortex of projection was the meta replacement. That being said, I ran INoF for most of 3.26, completing all content pretty easily.

Not much has changed in terms of itemization since the 3.24 guide. I still refer back to it for endgame crafting.

I did change some things to improve my defences:
- I changed my mind about Eldritch Battery, I now take it
- Along with EB, I now take Immortal Ambition (from Glorious Vanity - Ahuana)
- I now cap block (Safeguard wheel plus tattoos)
- I swapped MB flasks to tri-elemental
