Hey Guys,

I'm gonna start this build totday. I don't really have an awful lot of currency so I'm gonna start it as life based to get into it. But I really really want t o play it as CI, would someone mind giving me a rough breakdown and price estimate on what is required to do so?

Also, as this build seems to be kind of complicated, is there anything I absolutely have to get (except cospri's obviously) to get the build going and anything (expensive) that's exclusively useful for the life version?

I hit a wall on my poet's pen build and wanted to give this a shot.
Started with LL but realized I prob had the currency to go CI. I found an underpriced shield so I decided to go CI afterall.
Didn't expect to melt t16s this effective with the little investment I made so far. Got plenty of ex left.

I'm playing with BP1 but kind of wonder if sitting at 6.5 APS and investing in crit multi is better than trying to get closer to 7.57?

So for example;

A) 6.5 APS + 450 crit multi
B) ~7.5 APS + 350 crit multi

Hope you get the question, been reading the reddit and research topics but can't really get to a conclusion. In my head it would be hitting faster but with smaller crits vs hitting slower but with bigger crits.

I realized really late that this guide was mode in 2020 so im not TOO sure if all this stacks up now, so i have a few questions.

Given the following:
I have at any given point up to like 6ex (not great at farming since i switched from TR to this in hopes of map progression) to make upgrades.
I mainly map and dont do much crafting (currently spamming valdos for some pennies)
I am level 91 right now and slowly climbing to 94 (i think the guide recommends) but I do get instagibbed by some random mechanics sometimes

Here is my gear:


I also have frozen trail (without corrupted, militant with 2% ele res and 4% ailment reduction, thread of hope (large), and watchers eye with chance to block with disc and crit multi with precision.

Originally i ran this help to get my dex up but i couldnt get my res capped so i had to swap it out



Stats:
Currently at level 91 with short of 40% crit chance and 360 or so crit multi.
4100 life and 360 ES, capped res but negligible chaos res%.
I can run t14 maps OK, but nothing juiced or even delirium like the YT'ers.
99% chance to hit on cyclone
I dont see any (probably missed it) CDR in my gear or passives, but im at 7.33 APS, which is BP1 but per the guide, without CDR im missing out on a decent chunk of damage.

Playstyle:
Dash with RMB, move with LMB, Q for vortex if needed, otherwise just garen spin-to-win with cyclone until death. If boss, turn on Vaal RF and hope for the best
Flask 1 or 3 for some extra leech or all 5 if SHTF aka harbinger lag, then i just monitor and top off the appropriate flasks as needed.
Bleed is still a PITA...

Where can i improve my gear?
Im struggling to see how to get 100% crit
Is it worthwhile to decrease crit to and swap gloves or something for more HP and ES?
What is the ideal playstyle for this build? From this guide it looks like he has 88 spare mana, and while i can run cyclone and V-RF all day with it, its not easy to sustain vortex, esp in SHTF scenarios.

Not worth decreasing crit!

Some big sources of crit are watcher's eye, elder body armor and bottled faith. Maybe cinderswallow to a degree. Those items are the most common ones that can help you if u lack big crit %.

Oh and get corrupted blood implicit on a jewel or remove bleed on flask.

The only watchers eye that i found that i could afford is what i have now (1ex) for 6% block spell dmg with discipline and 23% crit multi with precision.

i think the corrupt blood frozen trail was like 5ex or something, which is insane ahaha, but my flask has "of staunching"
