How are people not overcapping mana reservation?

I have:
SS/VD/DD/Cascade/Controlled Destruction/Elemental Focus
SS/Cascade/Desecrate

And that's putting me over 100% unless I anoint with Charisma. And I do have Sovereignty in my tree.

You need inspiration support gem in both link...

Meant to post this a few days back -

Took down Sirus A8. Died once to what I believe is my dumbest death ever on him (I got hit by the first phase meteor because all the balls were covering the screen and I literally could not see the exit LOL). I had beat him on 5,6, and 7 already. Moving a lot slower in this league than usual, but happy to have taken him down. My gear is by no means Uber level. I only have 6.4k health as I took a slightly different route on the tree. That said this is probably the smoothest build I've ever played. I loved my Poison Claw PF, but with VMS nerfed it kind of kills that build's survival and I wanted to try something new anyhow. As you can see my helm is trash and so are my gloves, and my wand is mediocre. Even then Sirus A8 wasn't difficult nor did my damage feel wanting. Sure my PF could kill bosses is half the time, but it also got 1 shot constantly. Still trying to get a fire augment to try to slam Pen on my ammy. I'm not even spell block capped. Just goes to show how good this build really is. I'm more concerned with stacking some more damage at this point as I can reliably not die on almost anything. Thanks to the OP and the people here for their help and incite.

How does that help with mana reservation? Just that it's a 115% vs a 130% mana multiplier?

Having a hard time geting a sense of the dps tradeoffs of going Inspiration.

I had a hard time with Sirus 8 because of my dps but i got him none the same. :)

Hey, I'm not sure how Vaal DD works, when it doesn't have enough souls it automatically falls back to "normal" DD?

So when we hold right click (with Frenzy) you get a burst of dmg when there are enough souls and when there aren't you just get the usual DD?

correct. V-DD works like the regular DD until you get enough souls to activate it

I tested and indeed regular DD gets triggered when I attack with Frenzy. I also put V-DD on a separate button and it doesn't appear to consume souls if I don't push it separately. Is this normal behaviour or I am doing something wrong? I have the impression that V-DD is not being triggered through Frenzy.

It's not, you must activate it yourself when needed.
