Hi there.

First of all, we do not take Disciple of the Forbidden as it is not inside the ring (It looks like it is but it is just on the outside). Grab the Throatseeker node instead (30% crit multiplier). This node alone is more damage than Disciple of the Forbidden.

A few issues I noticed which will help you improve your damage.

1. The level of your gems are too low. Attack builds get their power from the weapon and gear whereas spells mostly get their power from gem level. I recommend buying a 20% quality and level 20 Volatile Dead gem for 5 chaos orb. You will see a big boost in damage.

2. You are running 2 curses through your Assassin's Mark ring and Flammability curse in the helmet. Only one curse can be applied on monsters unless you have some other way to increase the curse limit. I recommend grabbing a different ring with more life/resistances/critical strike chance or a Circle of Anguish ring if you can afford it. The 2 curses mean the enemies are not being cursed with Flammability half of the time which is a big chunk of damage missing.

3. Keep barrage at level 1. You do not need a high level Barrage. Your spells will do the damage. Focus on levelling the other gems up and your damage will increase by quite a lot. Concentrated effect, Inspiration, Combustion and Fire penetration will also give you increased damage when you quality them up.

4. You need a way to generate Frenzy charges in the build. Frenzy charge is 3% MORE damage per charge. If you message me in-game when I am around, I can craft the Frenzy on crit mod on your quiver if needed. Otherwise, try to find the mod through unlocking it via unveiling Betrayal quivers with the veiled mod as a suffix.

5. You need to keep Arcane Surge to a low level to make sure it is active when you use Flame Dash. I recommend keeping it down to level 4 and do not level it up anymore. When the level up message pops up on the right side of the screen, just use right click on the + sign and the message will go away.

6. A high level Precision is important so make sure you keep levelling it up. This build needs accuracy and critical strike chance which Precision provides.

Overall, you have the basic gear setup going which will see you through even red maps and bosses. Just focus on levelling your gems. That is where the power of the build comes from.

I've repurposed another toon which was 76, and here's some gear I've thrown at it, I think it's a nice start for mapping in SSF:



Plus a 41% crit multi precision Watcher's Eye, Thread of Hope, Volley Fire and a Diamond flask. First thing I need to replace is the Le Heup of All ring I think, after that I'll try to find permament solutions for gloves/belt/boots.
I also need to hit lvl80 to be able to start thinking about an opal ring.
And getting the last ascendancy would be nice. Currently I'm leveling my gems, but I've had some nice one ready - like lvl20 Desecrate and lvl21 Volatile Dead.

The bow might not be the base you've suggested, but I've been farming shaper for a week now, and I've used all my shaper scarabs (over 30) and this was the best result. Lower ilvl meant it was a bit easier to craft and while it took like 4 or 5 exalts to get it to the current stage - I'm in SSF with no plans to migrate to trading, so those exalts were put to use! One thing that I'm sad about is that the +2 to bow gems affix is kinda wasted here.

I've got a question about the Glorious Vanity - besides giving us the Divine Flesh it also influences and replaces Fire Walker and Arcanist's Dominion. What are so nodes I should look for in those spots?

Any other suggestions what should I focus on next are welcome!

thank you for this guide. I've never played bow and this seems like a very interesting build :D

I'm currently looking into migrating my Poison BV Assassin into Bow CoC. Gathered some (essential) gear and now doing some checking in POB.

I've managed to get 204k per ball (if I understand correctly).

My questions are:
- What kind of updates/upgrades would you recommend to increase damage?
- How much damage per ball should I have to clear end-content? I'm trying to calculate everything on POB before respecing, so that I'm sure that after respec I will be able to play decently :D
- Maybe my Asenath's Gentle Touch gloves can be useful for this build?

Some of my gear is cheap/off-topic (rings/quiver/non-cluster jewels), because I'm not sure on stats/what to buy (I'm kind of a new/casual player), so gathered what I had similar in stash.

I'm on budget, so some items (like your's WE - 22ex on market) are out of reach.

Your build looks like it's coming together nicely.

If there are concerns about the randomness of the altered nodes, I think grabbing Wind Dancer with a Brutal Restraint would be a safe bet since it might be difficult to assemble gear with chaos resistance to cap it for Divine Flesh. Otherwise, the Pain Attunement spot would be good as well to avoid changing the big notables near the Mind over Matter area.

Try testing whether your current crit chance is reliable since on first glance, your bow has a low base crit at 5.00%. I'm sure with all buffs up, it'll be really high but making it guaranteed 100% would be ideal since not critting would be bad for the build. Otherwise, your build is solid. Focus on grabbing a nice enchant for your helmet and farm away.
