[3.21] Aegis Incinerate Elementalist - Tank with over 10mil Shaper DPS!
The POB guys have it so much easier than 3.16 to update this league and meanwhile poor Neversink is not going to sleep for a week trying to get the filters updated with the 75 million new pieces of currency :)

" was thinking of league starting with this build! how is scorching ray better than incinerate in terms of league starting?
" Or what about Incinerate totems? They're both fire based so wouldn't the trees and gear be very similar? Scorching ray totems might suck due to the spell totem nerf, but the buff to incinerate should counteract that I think.
" he was thinking of using SR with totems so he wouldn't have a skill key that needs to be held down.
For this build you should use incinerate.
For some reason, when I put incinerate into my scorching ray totem POB (and some adjustments), the damage just doesn't scale. I can't really explain it. Incinerate also feels like ass when you dont have AOE (and cast speed), which is why I still like elementalist for this build. |
|
29-32% increased cast speed and highest tier of added fire damage to spells is now 98-115. Maybe a rare weapon will be significantly better now? Idk though cause Cerberus Limb has some real nice defensive mods too.

" a one handed rare will be much more damage now, but we really don't need any more damage to be honest thanks to the buffs and the move to crit. Keeping the defenses on a relatively cheap Cerberus still makes the most sense to me overall, especially if we are going to be getting into that 15-17m dps range. Последняя редакция: AndyLovesHisBge. Dont sell short the life leech you get with cereberus, that's 20% life recovery a second by default. Andy is right, with the incinerate buff even non crit elementalist version will hit 9-10M DPS, more than enough for all (3.16) end game content.
I was watching subtractum and people say 3M dps (on his bane occultist) is enough for all end game content, since it's high uptime dps. I will probably still go with my planned starter, which gives 6.5M with reasonable gear (no awakened gem, no +2 corrupte soul mantle). Watching scorching ray totems with Shaper MTX is just fun. They look so ANGRY with that bigass beam :D |

Looking at these patch notes again I'm thinking Viridi's Veil might be a real viable option. With awakened gems no longer dropping from Sirus, but dropping from Maven instead there might be a larger # of Veil's available than Crown of the Inward Eye. Unfortunately we don't know yet if lab runners will start enchanting it more. Enchanted Veil's were almost non-existant this league.
Good news is either one works as I've used both. Pros and cons to each. Viridi's Veil pro's: - Immunity to all curses - Can get better watcher's eye since 1 mod is no longer required to be determination/vulnerability mod - enemy damage is unlucky - +1 gems means lower level enlighten required - provides additional all resistances Crown of the Inward Eye pro's: - more armour - more ES - more DPS - any ring in right slot instead of being limited to magic Like Chubbypuppy has previously mentioned, we might want to consider rare helms this league as well. What are your thoughts Andy? I think it might be a wait and see thing since we won't know until the league is underway how these changes will affect availability of either item.
" I am willing to keep all options open. The enchant is so important for us but since I don't craft myself, I am unsure how many rare helmets with the enchant will be useful for me. For those that do craft, a rare could be very interesting this league. Especially considering the new ways to mod the implicits. I will keep my eye on both uniques and which ever one looks available and or cheaper, I will get based on my budget. Последняя редакция: AndyLovesHisBge. Время: 28 янв. 2022 г., 0:03:26
