Do we need a Pure Aptitude on one of our medium cluster jewel or do we only need 4x of Replenishing Presence + First Among Equals?

I found a way to put up flesh and stone and even make room to switch out my Belt for a Headhunter. Took out clarity and changed my gloves for more mana. Just need to get a few chaos res now.
I ran some maps without clarity and didnt see much of a difference. Would do the pros say to this? | |

What does improved impale effect do? I am just curious.
I had to buy a cheap jewel for now to fit in flesh and stone so I just bought a cheap 4c lord of steel jewel and it has that on it. I really don't care if it doesn't really do much as it is just a cheap stop gap till I can afford one of the more expensive jewels. | |
" It totally depends. Most of the flasks are there to fill in for the physical damage weakness hole. Taste of hate is massive physical damage protection, as is Basalt and Granite. Jade flasks give you evasion, and that helps quite a bit if you are running determination, or something similar. Quicksilver is just for movement and quality of life, Quartz flasks also fall into that category as they give phasing and can help you just run through places where you would be body blocked. Rumi's is a better granite flask as it also gives you blocking.. again, it's mostly just defense. Bottled Faith is an expensive offensive flask, that also boosts your regen. It's really personal choice what flasks you take. | |

" Why even pick granite if rumi is supposed to be "better" ? Isn't granite better than rumi with 80+ increased effect ? Also you say jade flask is better with eva->armor conversion from determination, so unless we run determination there is no point to use it right, and something like basalt will be better ?
