But I did watch Pathfinder totally transition from TR being the high percentile to BV.
TR is a good league starter because it's cheap but it doesn't scale as much if you want to explode screens or have very high boss damage. TR also doesn't pair well with HH, you can use it but you won't benefit as much with it as with BV.

I guess the problem is tons of builds now using Indigon as well?
There's a few known builds using it (like Akane's miner Scion) and few less known builds (like MBxtreme bane / blight PF). There's also Hiero BV version.
Thats exactly what I experienced doing TR, it was too squishy for my taste and for the investment damage wasn't amazing. Sirus went from being frustrating to now I can't wait to hop in and slap him lol.
Sold all my stuff while the market was good for it and transitioned to this, totally glad I did.

Heh, I personally agree, I usually stick to some form of CA / TR build because my league income usually caps at 20-30ex. However if someone has 100ex+ to invest I wouldn't tell them to keep investing in chaos dot builds, they reach damage softcap, don't scale with HH and generally are best for league starter but not for league ender.
Edit: Since I keep getting PM's on this question, I will write it out one last time.
On how to balance your mana: go to pob, mouse over your mana pot to obtain theoretical max mana per second gained/spent. Input that number times 4 into the mana spent recently in configs. Check the total cost of your BV, your max mana pool should be higher than this.
To figure out the theoretical max I just divide the flask duration number with the amount recovered right?

Making a +1/mana scptre will cost around 40~50 ex without DD and involves fossil spamming, which is even more of a PITA than alt spamming.
Finally, making this will cost you about 100~150 exalts and alot of sanity
Could you explain how you craft the mana / +2 ones?
Also for the T1 mana/+1 can I not just swap out the +1 all for mana and craft the same way as the regular +2 sceptres if I want T1 mana/+1? Or is it easier with fossils?

Yes, mana and +1 phys you can use the imprint redeemer slam method for hatred for cheaper. I got my base premade so didnt think that deeply into it. Fo Manan and +2 you imprint regal an all spells base until you hit mana, and then inf craft for hatred.

Ok, thanks!
And for the theoretical max mana pr sec ? I quoted abit wierd in my post sorry. Divide flask duration number with the amount regenerated should get me the amount pr sec right? Im sitting at 3.4k mana but it feels like I cant max out Indigon since I have to wait 0.2/3 sec after I max out before I can cast another BV. So im guessing I need mana on my sceptre.

Yes, that is indeed your theoretical max mana per second. Pob will also show you the cost of skills at higher indigon ramps, so you can use that to plan around how much max mana you need
For you guys doing EO, I bought a Bottled Faith do you still run Purifying flame in your Trigger Sceptre? Or do you switch for something else? Trying to see if I should switch some stuff up with my Vortex and Trigger setup now?
I guess now I need to upgrade to a mana recovery/explode chest and upgrade my sceptres. Maybe Unnerve Gloves and better support on my ammy.

Build is on front page of reddit now :( Expect to see it nuked like aura stacker. Explode chest might get nerfed too. It's too easy to reach 100% of life explode and chain explosions.
Why would they nuke a build that costs ridiculous amounts of currency to get to a great level.
Barring something like Harvest crafting getting removed again I think the build is guaranteed to get nuked. But even nuked it's still going to be great unless they do something like remove explode scaling from the game.
Finished my sceptre that hit mana on a lucky regal. Pretty neat trophy. Felt obligated to switch in Empower to hit level 30 for that extra 1 AoE.

Dadgum that's very nice!
I switched to Empower 4 today just because it pushed me to 27 BV instead of 24 until I finish Sceptres. I should PoB it but I thought someone mentioned it PoB'd higher than Awakened Cold Pen unless Pen was lvl 6. Damage isn't lacking either way though lol.

From my PoB, Empower is actually better than even a 6/23 awakened cold pen. However, awakened cold pen still does more damage in maps with the 40% elemental resist rolls. That would be the only trade off. But for the extra BV radius and additional damage in all other situations, I think it's worth using over cold pen.
