Can someone explain why golden rule is useful? Why is reflecting poisons good?

Since it wouldn't be possible to find the good skin of the lords with Iron Reflexes and right colors for a long time i bought Skin Of The Loyal with +2 lvl of Socketed Gems and 3 G 2 R 1 B colours for 35c.
The question is : Is it ok to use it before i would have a proper one with Iron Reflexes in the Defensive setup? Dont want to die too often :) ███░░█░░███░█░█░░░███░███░░░█▀▀░█░█░█░█░░░█▀▀░░░▄█▄░▄█▄░░

" Hehehe - 35 chaos for +1.... I have to comment: That is a masterpiece of fine trade. Congrats! It's very, very nice for damage, but you loose nice other defensive keynotes like iron reflexes or phase acrobatics. Even without iron reflexes the build is extreme tanky and you get instead around 50% evasion with grace and skin of the loyal and stalwaart commander and all the aura buffs. Try and enjoy!! I'm a bit lost at where I should go as far as upgrades and tree, if someone could point me in the right direction.
I got spiders going right now, and im waiting for the prices of aegis, memory vault and shapers touch to go down before buying them. I guess I could get some simple cluster jewels for damage? |

How does Ball lightning use poison? I thought only physical and chaos damage could poison, not lightning?

" Hi Deathly, like Schnubbel writes, it counts in the poison stacks you reflect on yourself as virulences for the crawler and you are chaos immune. The virulences scale up the HoA damage and attackspeed heavy. You need the golden rule in single-target-situations to build up and substain the virulence-stacks better.
