[3.21] Cold Conversion Summoner | Build guides for all budgets | (Ghazzy Zoomancer)

Hi Guys,

I love this build and currently I'm trying to set my first AG up, so I have a few questions although I read nearly every post during this league in this guide and so a lot about the AG...

I will buy a +3 ring, a 20/20 AG Gem and already have
- Kingmaker
- Gravebinds
- Inpulsa
- Windscream (got it dropped)

I read in the original but outdated version of the guide that it is very important to cap resis with the AG, but I think it is hard because most of the items have no or low resis on them. Isn't it that important anymore or do I need a helm with high resis? Or am I missing something else? As I understoot I need to equip 35% Fire/Cold/Lightning and 55% Chaos Resistance, right?

I read +1 Curse on that gear is important. What is the reason for that, where does the curse of the AG come from?

An the last question is: Does the AG only buffs with his items or am I understanding it correctly, that he buffs all minion with increased physical damage, so is he another big DPS boost?

AG is an immense DPS booster. He can easily give you 30-40% more damage and 100%+ more clearspeed with quite low investments. The reasons behind it are:
Second Curse, which he can apply from the corrupted Implicit on the gloves (that's the reason we use Windscream);
Kingmaker, that gives our minion +50% crit multi;
Reduced enemies' res from the helmet;
Furthermore, Inpulsa's explosions themselves considered as hit, so EW corrupt on Gravebind will apply this curse on the entire packs of monsters. That's extremely useful in Simulacrums and Logbooks, where enemies can be tough. Gravebind with EW used to cost 5ex+ when I still played the league, however they are 100% worth it. Res cap is not a #1 priority, I used to clear wave 30s of Simulacrum, having my AG's at max hp constantly.

P.S. quality on a usual AG gem grants nothing to you. It's highly recommended to use 21/20 Anomalous AG, as level gives him some life and Anomalous quality boosts AoE (explosions from Inpulsa's).

Thanks for your detailed answer and the explanations! This helps a lot. Unfortunately my budget (~150c at the moment) doesn't allow me huge steps, so I need to use a budget version and probably invest in my own gear first, when I get the first exalted orbs... Currently I'm running low red maps and try to get higher ones, so it will take a while I think... (I'm a slow player ;-))

Maybe it makes sense to use another armor with curse gloves until I can afford Gravebinds with curse? On the other hand I think Inpulsa is a very funny item and buffs clearspeed a lot...

And thanks for the hint concerning the quality of a normal AG gem!

I'd highly recommend you to use Gravebind + Inpulsa's setup whether or not you can afford EW Gravebind. Clear speed just becomes way too good. Your budget will be more than enough to build such AG.

Does anyone have the guide how to craft that +2/+2 shield? In best case the version with low/mid and high invest :-) Want to try to craft this shield by myself instead of buying something. Especially how to get the cold damage on it, don't find it via craftofexile

Have you considered utilizing Marsh of the Legion in the build in some way ? Hatred + Determination + Purity of Elements / Haste is just the first thing that comes to my mind.

How do we shock to trigger :
Shocked Enemies you Kill Explode, dealing 5% of
their Life as Lightning Damage which cannot Shock
?
