Constant crashing (both Vulkan and DX11)

(GetDeviceRemovedReason: The GPU will not respond to more commands, most likely because of an invalid command passed by the calling application.) 3.17 Update: same issue with archnemesis league; constant crashes to desktop without error message. Sometimes 3+ crashes in a row just trying to load in my character. No common denominator between crashes. My poe log files no longer contain crash reports. My game will randomly crash to desktop constantly. It doesn't seem to be correlated into any in-game event, so I can't narrow it down to anything. VULKAN is more stable than DX11 but does not fully solve the issue. I've tried literally everything I can think of to fix it and at this point I'm just going to quit the game until the issue is fixed because it's unplayable. Everything I've tried: -Made exception for POE in anti-virus -Closed all other programs/background processes -Changed from Vulkan to DX11 -Turned all settings to low -Updated graphics drivers -Turning off CPU/GPU overclock -Disabled XMP -Verified game files -Deleted cache -Cleared config files -Ran memory test (no issues) -Increased resource allocation to POE -Deleted all folders and did a fresh install -Flashed BIOS -Increased virtual memory -Updated chipset drivers -Fresh Windows install -Doubled up memory to 32GB -Running as administrator -Disabling full screen optimization -Running in compatibility mode PC Specs: - Ryzen 7 3800X - 3070 - 16GB RAM - 500GB m.2 SSD (300GB free) My PC can benchmark at extreme settings and handles stress tests with no issues. " Hi, On which kind of drive do you install game - SSD or HDD? I had the same problem when game was on HDD. But it's absolutely strange because all time before all worked fine on HDD too |

I am also constantly crashing, cannot pinpoint the root. It isn't always Expedition encounters that crash my game. I wonder if my GPU has had enough - my VRAM (4096MHz, 1050 Ti) is on the edge of critical per the new F1 metrics.
Crashing straight to desktop is one thing, but these crashes cause PoE to to fail to terminate completely. The screen will freeze and white-out like it always does after a crash, and a report will be sent to Microsoft, but the game doesn't close. This is the 4th time since launch, 2nd time in about 2 hours. I can't even kill the process via the command prompt. I have fiddled with the process ownership and tried killing the whole process tree but I always get an "Access Denied" or "Process is not running" error. Only solution I have is hard reset on the computer :( |

I am having the same problem, everything was fine in 3.14 - full on screenful of delirium madness graphics with CoC going crazy and everything was fine.
Now I can't get through 2 minutes in a white map. It doesn't even crash at any particular time, could be just standing there with no monsters around and it will shut down. I think I have managed to do an entire map once or twice without any issues though also, so strange. I made my own post here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3148726 |

Same problem here. I have 3070TI and I’m getting the same error. Sometimes it doesn’t even show the error. And it’s only this game. I’ve tried everything and nothing fixed it.

I was crashing when using freezing pulse totems as well though and was crashing with that day 1 but it seems forbidden rite crashing people's games is a common thing? Maybe a totems issue? I have tried everything I can find regarding PoE game crash advice I have come across from various sources over the past few years. Still crashing. |
