Moving influence mods to core pool is a huge nerf

Yup, influenced items made any rare that wasn't influenced obsolete.

Power needs to be handled in a different way, gems and jewels are a good way of handling power. Giving such power to item slots immediately nullifies anything and everything up until that point. We've all done it, wore a completely shite influenced item and adjusted other slots to compensate, just because of the power that one mod gives. Essentially it makes every other rare for that slot useless.


Have they actually changed this? Because from my understanding the answer is no. Don't get me wrong i'd actually like this to be the case but from what I see influenced items are just gonna be like elder/shaper items are atm - slightly more awkward to get until a certain point then easy ridin.


Well they've started in this direction. With the +1 skill gems mod on influenced amulets moving to base amulets, and the +1 arrow mod on quivers moving to base quivers.

They've also continued this trend with the new currency orbs that add implicits from their own special mod pool. And this isn't from the new league, it's from the new atlas changes. And since you can't use these orbs on influenced items (as far as I'm aware), this means even more incentive to use non-influenced gear. With implicit mods rivaling those of influenced, such as the +18% fire dot multi for instance.

So yea I think the case can be made they're moving towards the goal of not having influenced items be THE bis every single time.
but POE streamers , the established ones, praised these changes and said they are good, so they must be good , no? Remember the "Buffs" they gave you , hidden in the talent tree last league? Now is the same. Lmao, and you all keep clapping and Poging for getting nerfed every league.
Next thing you will know , you folks will celebrate when you gonna break a hand or something....

- buff for expedition crafted amulets
- buff for random harvest rerolls, I have not made the calculation but it should happen doing reroll x element
- possibility to get +2 amulets > people will farm amulets in "well rolled areas" and id amulets

seems less tedious than awakening stuff ^^'. Also you may get +3 amulets for things that have different tags now if I understand properly. A decent-ish +2 to chaos amulet for example was not that expensive and will become even cheaper.

Ahhh this is a good shout hadn't thought about this thanks for the mention, tbh I like this more. I'd like a league where I just didn't care about the old influences and could explore the new ones.
