Perfect Optimum would be Frosthand. She can equip the shield victario's charity for finest scaling HoA-frenzy charges, the dark seer, and can use 2 auras, best as hybrid: purity of ice + discipline.

But she does not appear, I merced her only without purity of ice until now.
I go now for Glacier and Frozen Cabins to farm her, hehehe.

frosthand have it frost curse all the time so i need another +1 Curse as curse bot...

But winter diakon cant run a shield and the ice wall circle of Vaal Glacial Hammer sometimes sucks a bit :3

Yes, the tanky-setup was already updated, but not converted in pob into 3.26.
No changes, only merc-helm switched.

Hehe, yes, the merc-choice is a though question. Much fun to optimize.

I teamed now with a Frost Hand purity of ice and discipline. But only low lvl 81, every 20 maps she dies against juiced Chaos-mods+altars.

But she turned my management so easy and granted 2 flexible jewel slots and 7 free passives. And with Victario's Chastity further 15% more HoA-damage.

That's huge and she looks overall more tanky as Winter Deacon.

I hope I find a lvl 84 frost hand / Winter Deacon soon.
Mine actually merc further cannot freeze and chill with her weird skillsupports elemental focus. So the next one will be probably much better skilled and tankier I hope.

I myself start always with the "Tank"-pob until lvl 100 and for juiced T17. When Mercenaries go core this pob will be transformed to Hybrid life+es instead CI.

In this league good geared with a mageblood I started to dualwield, aegis aurora is not needed in t-17 with purity of ice on a b.i.s.-geared Frosthand-Merc. New full optimized updated mageblood -pob's will follow in around 1-2 weeks, the older mageblood -pob's are a bit outdated.
As example take the gear of my actual char "Strong Worm" and transform the tree to necro ("Instinct" is pathed instead "Green Nightmare" as Scion, free choice of gloves. Purity of ice, discipline, curses etc. outsourced on merc):

Trigger wands work only for spells (like storm burst cwc).
For cyclone take dark seer / cip / Maata's / OR trigger weapon melee-types (sceptres).



Delve depends on the depth, ordinary balance in deepest delve a bit more into dps.

Overall the pob's will be be better organized with more clear pob-loadouts (the same as the now used keywords) too.

I want to try this build but that pob is an utter mess. Seriously needs cleaning up. Especially since some items are edited in ways that are impossible like a full duration chemist's flask of staunching, yet it's a utility flask so should have less duration and the flask isn't a chemist its an alchemists and why so many unused things? It makes pob laggy

Wtf am I supposed to actually follow if it doesn't even make sense??? Is there a pob that actually makes sense?

Simply use the pob, and not the greyed out unused alternative gear.

Or simply use further the beautiful button "delete all unused items" manually by your own whenever you like to ....


Whenever you do a build by your own you will know you need variable gear for variable levels and variable budgets and do not want to create it new from scratch each new patch. I could do it the same way as some youtuber`s and add a custom mod "+ 1000% to all resistances" like in their pob`s, but I prefer instead to use the concrete gear and clusters as the better examples.


You mean the chemist basalt flask of staunching? It has less duration because of easy beastcrafting the bleeding-immunity-suffix. In the menagerie the typical beastcraft "of staunching" always results into included "less duration"...
Please urgent inform me when you have discovered crafting flasks with bleeding-immunity without included less duration!!! .... :-)

Or do you mean a flask in the mageblood-pob? Sorry, there less duration does not matter, you can add it by yourself when it interferes you or write which specific flask in which specific pob-tree you mean and I can take a look.

(And further: You do not need the bleeding- and corrupted blood-immunity as soon as you got it on ghastly jewels and jewels, so take instead movementspeed in lategame or ailment-immunity you missed on other spots. It`s the warning placeholder because bleeeding and corrupted blood are the most lethal ailments to the allstars-build and need mandatory to be countered.)




PoB get's a clean up and I will organize it probably in loadouts instead the now used easy keywords.

With the Mercenaries dozens of interesting balancings turn valuable again in the build(like dualwielding and timeless keystones), so it will be a lot to do if mercs go core.
