With scavenger explode, that can self-proc unconditionally (no need target cursed like occultist), we basically gonna need 1 cast per few screens in juiced maps, everything will explode.
Another thing is, with stampede we are not getting full value of adrenaline movement speed, as our speed is fixed.
It just feels like self cast paired with such big explode could feel good to play.
If so, what boots would you opt for, in place of stampedes?

Adrenaline gives 25% inc movespeed, so any boots with 25% or more will have you run at about the same speed as The Stampede (if you just walk and don't Cyclone). However, you will lose one of the two anointments. And that's going to cost you more than you can gain on any rare boots.

Also, The Stampede gives you massive CDR for Frostblink. And immunity to any movespeed reduction effects such as Hinder and the stuff you get hit with in Delirium/Simulacrum.

I'm actually not sure if Death Rush is going to be the best option for the 4th Ascendancy. 100% increased damage isn't a lot when you already have 1500% increased damage. You can check Adrenaline (or 'Have you killed recently?') in PoB Settings and see that you gain only 6% MORE damage. I want to test Zerphi's Heart instead. If the exploding mobs will shock and ignite everything around - that may result in much bigger explosion chains. We'll see soon enough.

Either way, replacing the boots has never been worth it.

Do we use regular ES chest now or still ev/es?
In the first page, Kekvynn says pure ES chest.

Hey I've been playing this build as a league starter, it feels solid overall, running in t12s right now without too much issue. I am using Zerphi but I am wondering how useful it really is, what has been your experience? I am also struggling quite a bit with single target, even with a 6socket swap. Great guide though, definitely want to start this again on a regular league!

Also what are your thoughts on void battery? The explosion pops on Obliteration don't feel massively impactful (maybe they are and it's just a "feel" problem)

Playing it too, i got it bit further, can run t16.
Problem with obliteration is, it really shines if you scale aoe, you get more overlaps, and much better chain explode, thats how those buidls can blow up several screens. For this build you don't get aoe, you don't even want it because itll ruin your single target dps with icestorm.
As for chaos damage inflicting ailments, I found it fairly weak, too low damage from trash exploding to apply any significant shock on rares or bosses, also it has short duration.
Instead I changed to adrenaline and void battery nodes, for more damage.
Thing with this build is, it already moves fairly slow and way icestorm keeps hitting with duration, it doesn't feel slower than playing with explosions, clear is same, except you kill rares better because dps is higher.

I did change few things, playing with doedre chest, to apply 5 extra curses (aside from assassin mark on hit), from the totems, you pop vs boss or vs encounters that spawn stuff over time, such as rituals, everything is cursed entire duration. It has 550 es, but benefit is quite nice and temp chains + enfeeble, kind of makes up for some of the es loss, compared to giga es rare chest.
Early Phrecia summary

As I mentioned before, none of the Phrecia classes are nearly as good as Trickster. The damage is lower, and I feel a lot squishier without the extra ES, evasion and overleech. The whole point of this exercise is to have fun mapping with explosions. They felt a bit weak early for me, but somewhere around 1800 Int they started going off pretty well.

It also has a lot to do with pack size. I love farming maps with the red influence. And in this league we can scale the red minion pack size very high.

Get the extra upside on the unique idol. Get 2 idols that guarantee the altars spawning immediately. And fill the rest of the space with minor idols that increase the red minion pack size plus 1-2 other useful mods.

Choose a Minion bonus every time you see one, otherwise a Player bonus (unless it's the Meteor). It literally rains useful currency.

Death Rush was cool until the explosions started popping off (about 1800 Int). Early on the 100% inc dmg from Adrenaline was useful until it got diminished by things like Tranquility and Cold to the Core. And that happened at about the same time as the explosions starting to do well. That's when I switched to Zerphi. Now I explode screens.

Crafting the body armour was easy, as I predicted. Pure ES bases are much easier to get than the hybrid ones used by the Trickster.

The Helical bases are cheap in this league. Only 4 div right now. Can craft a huge upgrade.

I don't know if I'm going to go for the Simplex amulet. This mini-league might be over and done before I can make it. Without the challenges to grind, there isn't a lot to do here.

I still don't have the 5th Ascendancy (Trickster). It's too early in the league, the jewels are too expensive. But it's already fun enough with just the Scavenger ascendancy. Explosions are great!

I am level 70 now and am just about to go after my third lab (been slacking due to real life and having to help my husband level since I can play while he's at work (doing overtime this week)).

I did feel a bit squishy from not having overleech for sure, but it's not TOO bad. About to get my mastery for the stun/ES threshold. That's going to help.

I am having fun, and I hope to continue the challenges from regular league (had to take a few months break, and trying PoE 2 did not help matters / I can say I prefer PoE 1 over 2 right now. I kinda wish we also had Sin or an equivalent NPC identify our stuff like in PoE2, that would be neat. It's the only thing I like better in PoE 2 so far. And I got burned of that right after getting 1 character to my first tower in maps). I noticed I'm 4 challenges off getting the portal reward, which is what I'm after. I may hop back into Settlers regular to help (have yet to run my 200 t14 maps with mappers), or focus on this event to help get there.

But yeah, def feels a bit squishier.
Non-Trickster just takes a bit longer in the "mortal" state until you become virtually unkillable outside of the uber boss content. For me it was the Helical ring (plus Kalandra) that took me from 2k to 2.6k Int. And last night I just noticed that I haven't died in more than a day and accumulated more than 50% xp into lv 97 while doing 8-mod T16 maps. And this is less than 1 week into the new league.

Once you feel stable enough to go for the levels above 90, keep one of those in your inventory. Just in case.

Also, without overleech, bleeding can be an issue. Ralakesh Pantheon is a life saver. I only switched to Yugul recently for the 8-mod maps where you get curses on you a lot. But overall, Ralakesh is a stronger feature. Plus an anti-bleed flask:
