IIRC in poe1 it is 50% more monster life (as merc counts as 0.5 player) and 50% more items. So absolutely worth it for mapping, or you will miss free 50% IIQ.

Even Poe2 seems to not buff monster damage in party.


yeah afaik it's only more life, which is unsexy on beyond and deli bosses tbh haha

For merc, until someone smart has something figured out, I go with cheap but usefull uniques like The Ignomon, Pyroshock Clasp and Sign of the Sin Eater. They should really help us with defense.


I think it is going to be fun to see how merc strategies affect builds of all types. Outside of minion builds where AG has filled this space for quite some time, I think there is a LOT of room for experimentation.

And TBH, the AG meta is going to be old as well. That was established in a world where you absolutely under no circumstances could afford for the AG to die. Think that'll change now that they can be revived as well.

We should probably be paying attention to what goes on in the attack meta overall. Unless something has specific mine skill buffs, we can likely follow most of what they use as idea fuel.

I should have been more specific and said projectiles. I've always thought of this build in a similar manner to other projectile builds without the worry of reflect.

Chances are we'll benefit from uniques or buffs the merc can bring to this vs. spells, which are often spell dmg or cast speed. Maybe possible buffs to both???

Haha - no doubt. Same here. I have like 4 builds I want to play this league, but I keep telling myself to stay with what works and branch out later.

Hard to say if this is the only league Explosive Concoction will be the league start meta, but it's hard to beat for now. I've done 2 test runs and feel confident it'll be my fastest time to maps ever.
