thats my point


i mean, surely alot of people botted pindle. but i ran him manually, and it enhanced my d2 experience. you shouldnt punish legit players trying to prevent botting

In 1.09 Pindleskin was because he could drop everything and was massbotted.

Pindleskin is the reason Realm down exists in D2.

No, not terribly. The game had lots of problems, but having accessible monsters that could drop things was the opposite of a problem.

If there higher rare monster and midboss density inside the dungeons and elsewhere (hellholes you can't maneuver in; so much nicer to fight things out in the sunshine amirite) it'd be a non issue. Remember the old days of Bloody Foothill runs?

a simple way to prevent botting of the area would be to simply make it impossible to be able to create a new instance of western forest from the act1 side (forgot the name of the area).

Or make the two area one single instance, like the last two level of the merveil lair. This way you can't reset instance by passing through the portal between those zones.
So it comes to the point of this conversation:

GGG: We added a new boss to make this more difficult.
Players: Oh, more loot for this dull run back to Act 1.
GGG: Yeah, about that... There is no loot in this.
Players to each other: Ignore that cosmetic unique, rush as you would do and ignore one more monster, it is only there to cause some more desync and block you.
GGG: No, kill it, please. We put so much effort into creating it.
Players: Yeah much effort, no loot....

That's how it is , right now it is only there to annoy people and have you make sure that you have 0 exp in cruel and merciless, after doing fellshrine for 5 hours, when doing the quests to finish the Act. Bad idea in my opinion, really bad. If the reward is a skill point, then remove Alyra, Kraityn and Oak loot as well as Fairgraves, Dweller of the Deep, Piety (which by the way is two points, so make it even suck the loot out of you) and remove it from the stashes as well, because it is not that good anyways. What the hell, GGG? Can someone explain to me the development process of this?

Hah, all your gear with which you kill Piety + inventory gets destroyed after she dies...sounds fair for 2 skill points. Might add you have to kill her solo with no teleports to spice it up (no xploits yo).

Anyway, a lot of people play ARPGs for loot (I think), lotsa loot on the ground, loot from bosses, loot from farming, loot from crafting etc. So mobs with guaranteed 0% drop rate in a game that one would think centers around loot (besides your character)...yeah, gtfo.

Yeah, even if it would drop stuff, many people may have avoided it. It is no secret that Piety and Vaal runs ignore the dungeon to get to the boss, especially when people are not concerned with exp. And there were a lot of rare mobs in there with decent loot. Hell there is even a unique in Lunaris and most people flat out refuse to take it on, because they are interested in only the boss loot. If there is a reason for this new miniboss to be, I am fine with it, but as it now stands it is a problem to most people who deal with the quest and if they decide to take care of it, it flat out refuses them the loot they should get for the effort. Plus the fact that we still hit the switch and ignore the camp completely is borderline ridiculous. This is flat out boring and uninteresting to deal with.
