We need answers about ps4 performance (consoles in general)

Same issue. every 5 seconds a slight lag skip. PS4 client running on PS5

PC players are known for paying insane amounts for their PC's and as such they also will spend a proportionate amount on other things associated with their PC's. Thus they are the focus of GGG as they should be the most profitable players on average.

PS5 players will pay a moderate amount for improving their quality of gaming. As such they likely have more supporter packs and stash tabs than someone who has not spent more to upgrade their hardware.

PS4 players are on old hardware without the means to upgrade it financially or the willingness to invest in their own happiness though QoL. If they wont invest in that QoL or financially cannot, why should GGG as a business financially devote resources to them?

This is the unfortunate cold hard truth of the matter. Sorry to have to be the one to have to say it out loud. It is indeed a free game and the ancient proverb “beggars can't be choosers” alas applies.

PS5 Performance is Fine. Get the ps5 Client and everything works great.
The only thing is right now that the servers are tanking hard in the evening.
But that’s something GGG can’t do anything because it’s more a problem from provider to server Hoster

there's only one client available on ps5 when you search, which says ps5, but once it's installed it still says ps4 on the dashboard. unless they've removed or mislabeled it, then we're on the same client and everything is definitely not fine.

i've addressed this in another post, but i'll comment on it here as well in case it helps others. this screen does not exist for me (and likely others). the ps store only shows one version of poe, which says ps5 in the corner, but once it's installed it's actually the ps4 version. on the install screen of this version there is a smaller window to the right that is unlabeled (i thought it lead to mtx so i never clicked it before) that actually goes to the ps5 install screen.

How about they just make it so that all of the micro transactions we've done can be carried over to the PC if we decide we've had enough of the ridiculous treatment of console players? At this point I've spend so much money that if I went to PC it would be a drastic loss in QOL due to all of the stash tabs, twitch drops, and loot boxes

Just wanna throw my hat in here and give feedback as someone with 5k plus hours in exclusively on console. Ive bought several supporter packs and one off cosmetics. I fell in love with this game on PS4 and have struggled to get better over time and have even upgraded to a ps5 since. This is the ONLY game I play that has substantial performance issues and this league has been the nail in the coffin. Every league I assure my brother things are going to be fun, and each league the league mechanic looks amazing, we have so much fun. Then reality sets in once we get near endgame where things are faster and abilities more frequent and the game becomes blatantly un-fun and frustrating. Invisible mobs for seconds, frame rates dropping, game freezing for second anytime something significant happens, and so on. The amount of times we have died to on death effects that we either couldn't see or didn't show up until a slit second before it dedonates is mind numbing. My brother quit the league in frustration and im throwing in the towel too. POE2 as a game is worst than POE1 and I can't even play the one I enjoy. Ive got to give up GGG... years of time just wasted hoping that you would give ANY kind of love and support to console has been met with nothing but disappointment and frustration.

Everything invisible, freeze for like 2 sec when boss says some skill voiceline and then kicks our butt, yep, how are we ever gonna enjoy doing content.

For the people having problems download the PS5 version. Download the PlayStation mobile app login, and search for the Path Of Exile PS5 version that way. It will be there, and there is a option in the app to auto-download it to your console.
