Classes
Choose Lich (Witch) or Chronomancer (Sorceress) Lich: Strong synergy with chaos and curse mechanics. Chronomancer: Temporal Rift build with more defensive potential. 
Mechanics
Essence Drain: Main damage skill. Chaos projectile with strong DoT Contagion: Spreads DoT when an enemy dies Dark Effigy: Applies Wither + Poison Despair (Curse): Reduces enemy chaos resistance Temporal Chains slow enemies and extends the duration of debuffs. Enfeeble reduces the damage enemies deal. Blasphemy Setup: Auto-curses with Despair + Temporal Chains + Enfeeble Sigil of Power: Up to 60% more spell damage 
Curses

What ascendancy are you looking for to use?
I myself have been wondering because acolyte of chayula does seem like the way to go if u want to focus around chaos damage, but I was looking for more of a chaos spell caster, not attack based. Maybe gemling could be good since levels to chaos spells have always been a preety good source of dmg. |

" Tbh, chronomancer can be good (time freeze, apply contagion, push ED - enjoy the screen clear). With recoup, it can be pretty bonkers in terms of surviveability as well. The pathing would be 4-3-7-8 (the numbers correspond to the forum reveal). Gemling is also a great choice, as you can go something like 1-2-4-5 which will result in +10% gem quality (if ED qual stays the same, then its 5% more damage iirc), +1 all skill levels (as You have mentioned above, pretty nice for spells), and 4+5 will "just" give the ability to buff ED + something like hexblast with the same support gems, which can be pretty huge in terms of damage). That is probably one of the best "stat-stick" ascendancies alongside Bloodmage, especially for casters. |
