Hard crashing PC locks up
" I answered in another topic. No reason to duplicate the answer. " Yes, it may be. It would be even worse if the race condition happened at kernel mode. I hope the shit will be fixed by the industry (Microsoft, driver developers, UEFI developers, CPU/GPU microcode developers, etc), because it's not only GGG's issue. Because without fixing the roots of the problem your system will be affected by that design flaw / vulerability allowing the attacker to hang your machine up just because he wants to do. Or it will happen again in the future, like some Cyberpunk 2077 users reported in the respective NVIDIA thread. Последняя редакция: cursorTarget#1174. Время: 29 дек. 2024 г., 20:32:37

Hello everyone, I followed two pieces of advice from this forum, and I've been playing for two days without the game freezing.
1: I installed GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 566.45. 2: I removed the old version of GameInput Service (video: https://youtu.be/VaYvj2gRnUI?si=yQ94e2Djrwa0hxQI). I no longer use Process Lasso or any other programs. I am using Vulkan renderer. My specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti OS: Windows 11 Pro 24H2 I hope this helps someone as well. |

Hello everyone. I am one of us unlucky exiles crashing and freezing, i already did my duty and wrote a detailed post about my problems on forum and on reddit, i left a negative review on steam as well (until its fixed).
I just wanted to share my experience. I know, this is not a fix, or a workaround. It might be Placebo or temporarily. I dont expect anyone to do the same, nor do I state that it helps anyone else or thats it does help at all. I upgraded my PC 4 days ago from: AM4 --> AM5 B650 Aorus Elite --> X870 Aorus Elite Wifi Ice Ryzen 5600X --> Ryzen 9800X3D 16GB Compatible RAM --> 32GB 6000 CL30 Compatible RAM WIN 24H2 --> Fresh Clean Windows ReInstall 24H2 GPU, PSU, AIO, Case remained the same Beside the smoother ingame experience like no more stutters, no more lags, no more huge 0.1% dips (ty 9800x3D), with my new system i didnt freeze or crash in the last 4 days. Thats without ANY tweaks, so no POEUncrasher, Lasso, Shader Tweaks or similar things. I dont know why, as I am one of those who think the problem is on GGG's side. I am well aware that it might come back, but as for now, i am happy how it is. Due to the already heated discussion on here: Again, just wanted to share my experience, i dont expect anyone to do the same. I would have upgraded anyhow, POE2 or not. Happy New Year! PS: WTF GGG! COMMUNICATE ALREADY! |

I noticed when using Game Mode in windows . I have less crashes .
I also Reinstalled the Nvidia app which had an issue not optimizing the game for me . Since I did this 2 things My game have crashed only once . |
|
I wonder if software like vanguard from valorant / league of legends could be the reason for this issue .

To help the troubleshooting effort, I can confirm adding an exclusion for the Path of Exile 2's Roaming AppData in Windows Defender resolved the crashing between zones for me
i.e. Exclude the path below in Windows defender and then reboot your PC (Obviously replace "<username>" with your username) C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile 2 Hope this helps :) |
