Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access

I deleted this game few days ago because of the issue mentioned.
When I left it was little more than 100 pages, now it's almost 150.

They know that there is an issue.
They don't address it on purpose.
Once they stated it's about DDoS in one of interviews, but proofs don't match, as only some part of community is affected by this one.

How to force company to start take things seriously? Just let it go.
They use the "don't do anything and those who complain leave" tactic.

So don't waste your time. It was very disrespectful towards while community before, and now it's way more than it was.

I really wish I could play without any problems, yet, the early of season is the most exciting thing in terms of market, progress and so on, and this cannot be returned to us.
This game is totally broken... I am also having FPS stuttering in game every few seconds. Shader bar will go all green and network bar will also go up to few hundred ms. First I thought it was due to my internet but then confirmed it was not through various means.

I've done a few different fixes which all worked but only for a day.

First I deleted cache in App Data, and game was running perfectly for a day, but then next day same problem arise.

Then I did the same but it doesn't work anymore, so I found another solution by moving steam to the same drive as POE2, and it also worked and game was running perfectly... for ONE day! Next day I see the same problem.

Then I reinstalled the game and it was working again for ONE day. After some maps the next day game started stuttering again.... Come on I can't continue to do this forever....

POE1 was running perfectly for me for the past 7 years, 4000 hours of play time.

POE2 was running perfectly in 0.1 with 350 hours of play time.

I was also good with the league start of 0.2, the problem only stated around 0.2b or c patch. Please fix this....

For hardware, I have 4070ti, i5-13600k, 64GB DDR4 memory, 1.5 GBps internet & Win10.
fix it ggg. do something. anything
Shits still happening, trying to beat act 1 boss but can't because of the lag, it pauses for a second, then backtracks my character right in front of the enemies attacks. So rn for me at least it's completely unplayable.(Ps5)
Roll back your Nvidia driver to 566.36. Thank me later.

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue in Path of Exile 2 Early Access and was hoping someone could help. Despite my FPS remaining stable and my internet connection being solid (300-400 Mbps), I keep encountering stuttering and lag. It’s not tied to any specific location or activity in the game—it happens randomly during gameplay, and my first session was particularly bad.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Adjusted in-game settings (including lowering visual effects and disabling unnecessary options).
Capped my FPS to prevent fluctuations.
Checked hardware utilization (none of my components are maxed out).
My specs are as follows:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: RTX 4070 Super
RAM: 32 GB DDR5
Storage: 2 TB SSD
Cooling: Liquid cooling (temps are low and stable)
The game is installed on my SSD, and I’ve verified the files through the launcher. The issue seems more like micro-stutters or desync rather than classic lag or FPS drops.

Is anyone else encountering this? Any tips or settings adjustments I might have missed? Thanks in advance!

to explain this:

the big problem is, that there are multiple problems from different sources. so it's easy to assume that everything is just ggg's fault. and therefor can be fixed by them.

but they can't fix the broken drivers from nvidia.
nvidia has somehow decided to be AMD in 2025 and have released this year only completely broken drivers.
the different drivers this year has brought various issues that go from overheat till bluescreens. some drivers only break certain system combinations. and some, like the latest, 576.02 messes up anyone that has a custom fan curve in a separate tool (fan wont get the correct temp data yay).

the last stable driver from nvidia is the one from dec 2024 - 566.36

sources:
Gamer Nexus "Get It Together, NVIDIA | Terrible GPU Driver Stability"
Jayztwocent "I think NVIDIA is doing this on purpose now... New driver issues. BEWARE!!!"
and there are many more tech youtubers talking about it and doing testing.
This is not hearsay or trying to defend GGG, there is a real srs issue happening with nvidia drivers.

will a roll back to 566.36 fix all the issues?
No, but it will help several ppl that only have issues because of the driver.

EDIT: make sure to do a proper reinstall. In the gamer nexus video is an entire part explaining how to reinstall the correct driver correctly without some nasty rests hiding in your registry etc.

and for future reference: do not update ur gpu driver by default as soon a new driver is out.
at least as long as nvidia is behaving like a freaking toddler.
if u feel like u need the latest driver, check first the feedback of the tech-testers.

All the rubber-banding problems I had were completely fixed by switching from a wireless to a wired ethernet connection.

Everything looked fine with my wireless connection so i never thought to consider that as a possibility. Every game ran fine (WoW, CoD, anything online...except D4 and this.)
I started experiencing stuttering with 0.2.0f. Was fine beforehand. Network is stable 60 ping to Washington DC server. When I switch to Canada server with 70 ping it's slightly improved but still stutters enough to make gameplay unenjoyable. I even switched to a different Internet provider (I have 2 in my home for redundancy working from home) and the issue is the same.
Same issue here. Happens around the same time frame every day. On US server peak hours are around 7pm-10pm and this is when the lag is bad. Outside of these hours the game works fine.

Seems like they just need to scale up the servers more during peak hours. Not that hard to do. Surely their metrics are showing bottlenecks on the servers?? Do they even care?

the issue isnt all nvidia, I'm using Radeon graphics card and I'm getting this issue, my ping is currently 7ms, pretty stable, using a wired connection, every now and then I hit over 10000ms (yes ten seconds I have seen as high as 16000 but only managed to get a screenshot of about 14000) there is nothing wrong with my PC its a decent high end build sitting at a stable 130+ FPS, I've updated my drivers, I've done everything and i'm on 1gb download speeds 700mb up... should not be getting mad lag spikes...
