Poe 2 feels so terrible. just sad...

The game seems to be on a love or hate relationship on the early access.

You got the group of streamers and others that have knowledge of the design systems and testing out a beta with builds wiping out bosses in 2 seconds (bypassing any mechanics) and then others without the same level of engagement trying to play the game to learn and give feedback from that standpoint.

Is the game perfect? No way, there's a lot to improve and it is a beta. I suspect it will get better with time but I hope GGG really learns from things they should have learned from being in the ARPG market for a decade+.

For me the endgame is waning and lots of the mechanics and loot chase isn't fun. I started a warrior to 85 and have a ranger to 75 and the leveling process and doing the acts seem to be the most fun I had. Tried running maps and it's a real grind with the way things are set up.

I have no doubt the game will improve, when Poe 1 launched it was complete and utter slog dogshit aswell but it evolved over time and became something great. Of course, the devs were just as stubborn about changing things then aswell.. It took like 5 years for them to admit control clicking into the guild stash was a problem that needed to be fixed.. The issue here is that... its a sequel. You shouldn't be repeating dumb mistakes after over a decade of development experience.


Game is f****** annoying slog

Not enough gear and loot to get better, ur constantly behind.
You should not be supposed to play with a build guide to do damage.

Mobs too tanky and fast, you get swarmed.

Sudden difficulty spikes, your skill hits like a wet noodle all of a sudden.

Boring gameplay, no sense of progression, stupid one liner dialogue spam from your charakter.
Areas too big.
Passive Tree nodes not impactful and boring with no real choice.
Locked to skills with weapon type.
Forced combo system = forced builds.

Its like getting f***ed permanently. Game is for masochists.
Devs releasing unfinished not fully developed content and let you beta test then adjust with bandaid "fix".

Its just a money grab with bloated marketing. They do not develop for the players. They just bring out the minimally working product and sell their skins and supporter packs and gamble boxes.

This is going on with Poe since around Archnemesis league.

I play since Betrayal and for the first time I uninstalled both games.

Besides way too few balance patches and/or too long league it is the best game i played in years.

Sadly seasonal and implicated in some unhealthy development model of same team working on 2 games at the same time.
But the game is amazing.

Monthly balance patches, maybe separate the games from each other and we are golden.

(I know ggg dont wanna to break the toys mid-league, but players adapting and exploring new builds is better than 5 months of 2 builds in a dead game).
This thread shows GGG obviously made a big mistake by trying to drag too many core design features from POE1. POE2 had to be a fresh new game for new audience but it turned out to be an underdeveloped POE1 add-on. No wonder Chris left and launched correct POE2 version.
